So I got a message from lovely DP. It's the pic attached. He called me to ask if I'd got it. Between snorts of laughter I told it was hilarious, and even more tacky than 3 wolf moon! He is quite hurt as he searched it out for me ( he thought being Jacobite descended Scots I'd love it ) to get blown up to hang in our bedroom!
So. Is he unreasonable with this monstrous thing or am I? Hmm

It's exactly the kind of thing that teenage-goth me would have loved but grown up me realises is actual art-student bollox...

Notasinglefuckwasgiven · 01/07/2015 22:01

I could see the 16 year old me finding it " deep " I actually died a little typing this

Wideopenspace · 01/07/2015 22:04

I'm not sure OP - the internet, I think

Theknacktoflying · 01/07/2015 22:05

At least he didn't want song lyrics above the headboard ...

paulapompom · 01/07/2015 22:07

I love wolves... but it's tacky. Sorry but yanbu. But it is the thought that counts. But why did he think you would like this?

NoelHeadbands · 01/07/2015 22:07

Chuckling like fuck at Rhee-rhom

Cumbrae · 01/07/2015 22:10

Why doesn't he just get a nice picture of Nicola Sturgeon instead?

BitOutOfPractice · 01/07/2015 22:11

Suggest you get matching wolf fleeces

wallaby73 · 01/07/2015 22:13

Iwant it. On a cardigan.

pigsDOfly · 01/07/2015 22:21

I don't get it. Is it supposed to have some deep meaning?

All I see is a not particularly good picture of a wolf and some letters in it's breath spelling out the word freedom.

Am I missing something? Don't think it's even tacky or bad, it's just meh.

Wouldn't want it on my wall, or my phone though.

DonkeyOaty · 01/07/2015 22:28

Guffaws at Rhee-rom Grin

When I was a teenager (in the 90s) my friends and I would compete to see who could buy the tackiest card and gift as a birthday present. We would howl with laughter to see one of our mates open their massive huge card with pages in it, accompanied by a huge pink tassel hanging down the front. We would buy them plates out of the Radio Times as well.

We would have LOVED that poster :)

Notasinglefuckwasgiven · 02/07/2015 04:52

Update. DP slightly huffy but still adamant the pic is nice. He has agreed it's probably not one for the wall....I shall thank him for this gift of tat Wink

It's the height of tack. But some people like tack.

owlborn · 02/07/2015 08:33

My inner fourteen year old thinks you are being VVVU and would like that picture on the front of a folder for school. Or maybe ironed onto a bag?

I think even she draws the line at framing it for the wall.

I also just totally lost it at the image of 'a nice picure of Nicola Sturgeon'. That is genius.
