So holiday booked to Sousse with Thomas Cooke. Member of the party include two 84 year olds and a child with autism. Not due to go to the end July but reckon we should just persuade TC to refund or reallocate to different country.

I changed my booking yesterday with no difficulty, there wasn't much choice with only 5 weeks to go and I had to pay a bit more, but it's too much of a risk with children.

I'd advise anyone wanting to change their booking to do it ASAP.

I think we discovered how little empathy Thomas Cook has for their customers after the Corfu case.

The authorities have been slow dealing with the deaths because Tunisian policy is for dental and medical records to be accessed before confirming any identity. Obviously that's harder to do with people in swim wear when they don't even know nationality.

We also changed ours yesterday. Not much left in the holidays so we changed to Cuba in the Oct half term. TC staff were very helpful.

TC have been great with us, proactive phone calls to update us over the weekend and then lots of patience yesterday while we trawled through the available holidays on our date.

Just an update - can't get another holiday without it costing a lot more (and that's for some thing that is very basic in Spain or Turkey). TC say they are putting on more flights but the prices are sky high.

I'm sorry for you OP.
But I'm far more sorry for the people who have had free flights home with the RAF. It's so tragic.
