I don't have any friends where I live. DH isn't that bothered and has disappeared off to his friend's for the evening, but I really want to see Jurassic World. AIBW (am I being weird) to go on my own tonight with a bag of sweets?

Why would it be unreasonable? I occasionally go on my own. Dh often goes on his own.

karbonfootprint · 25/06/2015 20:13

What's weird about it? It's weird that you are asking!

CityDweller · 25/06/2015 20:14

??? I go to the cinema on my own all the time. It's one of life's great pleasures, in my opinion.

inmyheadimthequeen · 25/06/2015 20:14

I LOVE going to the cinema on my own

contractor6 · 25/06/2015 20:15

Go for it, enjoy x

CakeNinja · 25/06/2015 20:15

Yanbu - ive never seen why going to the cinema Is considered a 'team sport' for want of a better phrase.
When I see my friends, I want to talk to them. Can't do that at then flicks.
Off you go, have a great time and enjoy the fact that you won't have to share your sweets! What sweets are you having? Cinema pick'n'mix are the only reason I ever go (hate films and only go under duress with the dc!).

PiperChapstick · 25/06/2015 20:15

Do it! It's lovely I often do it!

blueduvet · 25/06/2015 20:17

When my baby is in childcare, I'm going to book time off work and go to the cinema on my own. I can't bloody wait! Get yourself out and enjoy the film Smile

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 25/06/2015 20:18

I can't wait until I can go to pictures on my own.....bliss!

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2015 20:18

It's weird this question comes up so often! Can't believe the amount of people who feel awkward about going to the cinema solo.

Cumbrae · 25/06/2015 20:19

I used to do it pre kids, now sadly not much opportunity.

You get to choose the film you want with no compromises (and the sweeties you want!)

Go have fun!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 25/06/2015 20:19

Go for it. I love going to the pictures on my own. And no one tries to steal my popcorn. DH is always like, "No, I don't want any, I'll just have some of yours" and I am like "no fucking way it's MINE" Grin

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 25/06/2015 20:20

I like calling it "going to the pictures" too. Grin

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 25/06/2015 20:21

I bloody love going on my own. Go!

Doyley180 · 25/06/2015 20:45

I'm here! Sweets on the go, ready for some Pratt action and dinosaurs!

I have been to the flicks on my own before, but only during the day. It's dead in here though, excited!!

After I left uni I was unemployed for 8 months and occasionally used to go to the cinema on my own. Once I went to see the first Hunger Games at 9.30am and was the only person in the screening. It was great Grin Being the rebel I am I sat in the posh seats when I'd only paid for the cheap seats.

frankie001 · 25/06/2015 21:35

I went and saw it on my own, in 3d with a huge ice cream.

Edna1969 · 25/06/2015 21:36

If I want to see a film and DH or friends don't then I'll go on my own. Everyone is happy :-)

girliefriend · 25/06/2015 21:39

I saw it on Monday, really enjoyed it!!

FiveExclamations · 25/06/2015 21:40

Love going to the cinema on my own, used to go twice on a Saturday on my own when I was single and lived in a city.

nottheOP · 25/06/2015 21:45

blueduvet give baby cinema a go!

whois · 25/06/2015 22:43

Totes fine. It's not like you can talk to a friend during the film anyway!
