Single and going through IUI

I'm single and decided to have a baby through a sperm donor at the age of 41.. Anyone else out there that is in the same boat. It would be nice to meet someone who is also going through it

Not in the same situation myself, but suggest you contact Donor Conception Network. They have an active Solo Mums group and could put you in touch with women who have been through/are going through the same.

Hey, I was in a similar boat to you. I've just completed my first cycle of IVF (I have PCOS, so IVF turned out to make more sense than IUI) using donor sperm.

I got my BFP almost two weeks ago, and am waiting (somewhat anxiously) for an early scan with the clinic. This is a standard thing they do before releasing me back to the arms of the NHS.

If you want the really long version of my story, I've a whole thread (under an old nickname) here. Otherwise I'm happy to just chat/answer any questions. I'm far from an expert, but can tell you how it all happened for me.

I did! Three years ago almost to the day I had my first (and only) iui and I now have a fab daughter. I LOVE talking about it as it was a great and easy experience for me. Resulting in a great and easy child come to think of it!
