I've just spent 15 rearranging the hair on DD's frozen doll and it still looks like shit. I want to strangle the inventor of this type of hair with his own invention! AIBU?

Not sure if this helps Smile

Probably not, but this has made me feel better Grin

I used to use hair conditioner on my dolls' hair when I was a child, and it worked a trear

Trumpton · 24/06/2015 06:57

Fabric conditioner works well .

margaritasbythesea · 24/06/2015 07:04

One of my biggest disappointment on becoming a parent was realising dolls hair is still crappy.

AuditAngel · 24/06/2015 07:58

Ha ha, I misread that as 15 hours, I was impressed by your determination!

haveabreakhaveakitkat · 24/06/2015 09:48

I have to psych myself up to do this one.

Is it neat fabric conditioner, Trumpton?

Audit, I think if it was any longer then the doll would have ended up in the bin Wink

How do you apply the fabric softner? Do you dilute it, or just spritz it on?

There's a guide online on how to untangle dolls hair. My friend did it for my God daughter and it worked. Using fabric conditioner.

Trumpton · 24/06/2015 12:50

Yes Neat is best !

HighwayDragon · 24/06/2015 13:52

a few drops of fabric softner, in a spray bottle of water Smile

enviro300 · 24/06/2015 15:09

Would it work on My Little Pony hair? All dds look like they've been electrocuted while being dragged backwards through a thorny hedge.

haveabreakhaveakitkat · 24/06/2015 15:51

Thanks Trumpton.

Ds has a couple of the barbie mermaid dolls designed to go in water and the hair is silky and smooth, no tangles at all. Wish all dolls hair was the same! I recently chucked out Girl's World as it was such a state.

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/06/2015 15:53

Would it work on My Little Pony hair? All dds look like they've been electrocuted while being dragged backwards through a thorny hedge. DD likes hers like that. If there were two identical ones, one with lovely braids and the other a shit-tip, DD would choose Shit-Tip (with, presumably, a tiny turn as it's cutie mark).

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/06/2015 15:54

turn = turd

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/06/2015 15:55

Actually, too many typos to correct. Just ignore me...

enviro300 · 24/06/2015 20:18

I liked the post, made me Grin. Yes I too would have to do the ponies hair once dd was asleep to stop her screaming that I was hurting the pony Hmm. The day Rainbow Dash and Applejack got vomited on during a tummy bug is forever etched in my mind
