I love a man in short shorts. Why the hell has this long shorts trend gone on so long?

DP plays football. I'm forever complaining about those frigging long 1940s style shorts and telling him they should go for the 1970s shorty shorts instead. They got a new kit last year - so big and baggy that on some of the players they come beneath their knees. They look hilarious and make me think of the fast show Mr Cholmondley-Warner football sketch.
