I know it's a first world problem, but just looking at my diary I realise that OH and I don't have a single day together for the next 4 weeks. Mostly work, for both of us, but also driving kids to rehearsals for shows, OH has a family wedding to attend some distance away.
I feel like I will miss the whole summer with not a chance to have a BBQ or sit in the garden late afternoon with a glass of wine to relax with my OH.

I would love just one day off together.

Book holidays?

keeptothewhiteline · 19/06/2015 19:49

THanks woooo- but he just started a new job two weeks ago, so getting new projects up and started, has to go on a couple of training courses. Not really appropriate to take annual leave for the next few months or so.

Could you book leave? We recently went for over 5 months without an actual day off together. I worked on his days off and he worked on mine.

my dp and I live like this to manage our childcare. it sucks but it's the only way we can afford to both work. He does back shifts (finishes midnight)/and I work a 9-5. We really value family holidays for this reason.

Story of my life! Like Wagga, we have to work on each others days off in order to avoid childcare costs that would negate my working at all. We try to book holiday and cherish family time. It really sucks.
