We're a group of friends - looking for places to go to enjoy ourselves, evenings and weekends mostly. AIBU to ask for where the hell we can go as its really not obvious.

The Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath is really nice - they have little shows on all of the time.

The Plough in Harborne is lovely. All ages in there.

Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston are lovely and do jazz concerts in the summer:

The Old Joint Stock has shows on and also does good food, the Wellington has a good reputation for being friendly, The Old Fox is quite quiet nowadays because of the Wetherspoons nearby, but Pat the manager is lovely.

Need more info, Barbaraaa. What kind of thing are you after?

Barbaraaa · 21/06/2015 22:28

Cilla we want to enjoy ourselves whether it be doing an activity, drinking/eating - just want an insight into what's out there for us.

Which bit of Birmingham are you in?
I have a few recommendations (though I'm no expert/socialite) - PM me if you want.

Gosh, where to start, Lichfield is lovely and an easy train ride, great shops, generally nice to walk around with good restaurants and pubs. As previous posters have said, could really do with knowing your approximate location, again pm me if you'd like, I'm north of the city.
