So noise from talking, ball playing, jumping on trampoline... Acceptable or not? (on a Monday?)

Stripysecrets · 15/06/2015 22:07

Yes absolutely acceptable! :)

Sirzy · 15/06/2015 22:08

Unless you mean 8.30am having been out all night then yes yabu.

BeeRayKay · 15/06/2015 22:08

Umn, yes?

Velociraptor · 15/06/2015 22:08

I'd say its fine, 8.30 is not late.

whois · 15/06/2015 22:08

Absolutely! How lovely got a family to be outside enjoying the garden and nice weather.

Rainicorn · 15/06/2015 22:09

Why not? They're taking full advantage of the lighter nights.

mikado1 · 15/06/2015 22:09

Completely acceptable-is it a problem for someone?

MrsBungle · 15/06/2015 22:09

Yes acceptable.

DorothyL · 15/06/2015 22:09

This was us, just worried we might have upset the neighbours Smile

Yep. We were out in our garden 'on a school night' til about 9.30 last week. 3 primary school age kids playing and a load of adults getting pissed catching up!

usualsuspect333 · 15/06/2015 22:10

Yes perfectly acceptable.

Penfold007 · 15/06/2015 22:10

Make the most of the fine weather. Perfectly fine

cuntycowfacemonkey · 15/06/2015 22:10

Yes that's fine (although our neighbours have a baby so I don't allow excessive yelling from ds's after 7pm)

bittapitta · 15/06/2015 22:10

Yes, fine. Close your kids windows if they are disturbed. 10.30pm probably less acceptable. Is this every evening OP?

CMOTDibbler · 15/06/2015 22:11

As long as no shouting/screeching, then its fine.

kinkyfuckery · 15/06/2015 22:12

As long as you were respectful of any neighbours that may have young children and not being too loud/kicking balls against walls/playing music etc then it's lovely to see people out enjoying the lighter nights.

whois · 15/06/2015 22:13

Some of my fav childhood memories are from 'playing out' in the light evenings until nearly nine o'clock before being called home for a quick face scrub, teeth clean and to bed :)

TooOldForGlitter · 15/06/2015 22:16

Perfectly acceptable. It's tricky managing light and warm evenings with neighbours either side but it's just a case of mutual respect. Don't do anything youd not be happy hearing yourself!

I say this whilst sat in my own garden tonight listening to next-door-but-one having a hell of a party. I think it's an 'end of GCSEs' thing. Lots of karaoke and so far two crying girls Grin

CrystalHaze · 15/06/2015 22:18

Totally acceptable - we get so little opportunity to do that in this country (and I'm jealous coz it's freezing here today!)

sunseeker66 · 15/06/2015 22:19

Yep fine here my two are 8 and 13, but after 8pm I tell them to talk quietly in case of babies sleeping. Love my garden of an evening in the summer.

ghostspirit · 15/06/2015 22:19

yep i recon its fine. our summers dont last long so make most of it :)

manicinsomniac · 15/06/2015 22:21

As long as it's the person's own garden and they aren't making unusual or disruptive levels of noise I think it's fine to be out there till 3am if they so choose. Their garden to do what they like in.

ChocolateBreakfastBalls · 15/06/2015 22:22

It depends. not if you're my neighbours who seem incapable of being outside without screaming, screeching and banging.

ouryve · 15/06/2015 22:23

Perfectly fine, though I would put my foot down at kids shrieking at that time, knowing that some people have tots to get to sleep. I only wish some of our neighbours had when DS1 was little.

CocktailQueen · 15/06/2015 22:24

Yes! it's fine! So long as no horrid screeching. Our neighbour was out at 8.30 drilling and sawing, which us more disruptive IMO...
