AIBU to leave my job in a college to work in a primary school?

I currently work with 16-19 year olds in learning support, and pretty happy there, apart from sometimes having to help with a subject I'm not familiar with! There's a vacancy at DD's school as a TA (yr 1 I think). I'm tempted to apply but can someone who works in a primary school tell me any bad points about working in that sort of setting. I've helped out in DD's class many times & always really enjoyed it and feel I have a good connection with the children. Thanks

How does the pay compare? TA pay is abysmal usually. Helping out in a class occasionally is very different than having to be the daily. Personally I prefer working with older children.

Pay is much the same, plus I'd be saving petrol money. I'd just like to know what it's really like, day in, day out.
