To hate showering

In the morning?

Evening showers and getting into a fresh bed every night is my idea of bliss! Grin I don't understand all the morning showerers and your strange wake up rituals!!

I agree. I have shower in morning but hate it. Yet an evening shower is a treat.

diddl · 15/06/2015 09:27

But if you shower in the evening you still have at least a wash the next morning?

trilbydoll · 15/06/2015 09:28

There's always a bit of you that gets cold in a shower. A bath doesn't take any longer, I eat breakfast and get DD ready while it's running.

I'm so sleepy in the morning, I don't have the energy to stand up in the shower!

LashesandLipstick · 15/06/2015 09:31

Diddl you still wash but it's much quicker and nicer than a shower

SaucyJack · 15/06/2015 09:41

I bath in the evening. Not a morning at all, and bathing would be yet one more impediment to me getting ready and dressed.

SaucyJack · 15/06/2015 09:42

*morning person.

Too tired to type.

BrowersBlues · 15/06/2015 09:46

I don't like showers and prefer baths. I find the water like an assault on my body first thing in the morning. I have a bath every single morning and love it, it feels so soothing.

MidniteScribbler · 15/06/2015 09:48

I like both. I can't function in the morning without a shower, and my hair looks awful if not washed in the mornings (even if I did it the night before). I usually have a swim or spa depending on the weather at night, so always have a shower to rinse off before bed.

Goldmandra · 15/06/2015 09:55

I find the water like an assault on my body first thing in the morning.

I HATE that feeling when the water first goes all over you. Then I don't mind the rest of the shower and love the feeling after I'm dressed and my body feels all tingly for an hour or so.

I hate the feeling of getting in the bath too but then never want to get out.

If I wash my hair at night I end up with a soaking wet pillow due to very think hair so morning showers work for me.

storybrooke · 15/06/2015 10:54

Haha personally if I get sweaty in the night I'll tie my hair up and shower in the morning too! Wink

And yes, still wash in morning but its so quick and not a chore or assault, which I totally agree with!!

Dh has to shower every morning within 20 mins of being up Hmm

I shower every morning without fail - sometimes I have an evening shower too (if the weather is hot)

I'm having a new bathroom installed soon and am dreading the fact that I'll have to pop round to a friend's house to shower because mine won't be working

johnwinstonlennon · 15/06/2015 16:22

I could never shower in the morning. I've done it sometimes in specially hot summers -I live in south america and don't have ac- to cool off. now I shower at night before dinner, sometimes later. I freshen up armpits in the morning if needed. there's nothing like getting in bed fresh and clean! of course you have to keep linen fresh and clean too! maybe it helps that I sleep alone.

Fluffyears · 15/06/2015 17:34

I couldn't not have a morning shower. You smell stale and sweaty in the morning. I hate having a sink wash, water running all over the place as you try to clean armpits, face, boys and feet. I'd rather be in a shower not dripping water all over my floor.

LashesandLipstick · 15/06/2015 17:39

Fluffy speak for yourself, not everyone smells after just being asleep!

Stealthpolarbear · 15/06/2015 17:44

I don't understand how a wash can be quicker than a shower. All that faffing with flannels, water going everywhere, trying to rinse with soapy water, using a towel to dry bits of you that aren't properly clean.

LashesandLipstick · 15/06/2015 17:50

Polarbear because you don't get soaked and then have to dry yourself which takes ages if you're like me. Then there's the easing out of the shower where you spend ages wrapped in a towel because it feels like you've just stepped out into an icy wasteland. then there's sorting your hair because even if you try to avoid getting it wet it'll still get damp...

Urgh. I hate showers.

Stealthpolarbear · 15/06/2015 17:55

I have very fine hair which towel dries in no time, maybe that's the difference

googoodolly · 15/06/2015 17:59

Ooh I love my morning showers. We recently got a shower installed after two years of just baths, and it's BLISS.

LashesandLipstick · 15/06/2015 17:59

Stealth that might be it! Mine is extremely thick, curly and long. I have to make a night of it when I'm washing it because it takes hours

choli · 15/06/2015 18:01

I shower in the morning and in the evening. Couldn't imagine going to work without a shower, couldn't imagine getting into bed dirty. In summer I might end up showering 4 times a day if gardening at the weekend, etc.

TravellingHopefully12 · 15/06/2015 18:04

I like to shower after a walk or swim - often at the swimming pool, but their showers are a lot better than ours.

Sometimes if it's hot and you're feeling stick and gross then a night time shower is just what you need though

meyesmyeyes · 15/06/2015 18:06

luffy speak for yourself, not everyone smells after just being asleep!

Me neither. I never wake up smelly.

Crinkle77 · 15/06/2015 18:21

I hate showering in the morning. I am not a morning person at all so the less I have to do the better for me. Although if it has been a hot night I will have a very quick wash. I like to get everything ready the night before; shower, clothes laid out, lunch organised then all I have to do then is roll out of bed when the alarm goes off.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 15/06/2015 18:32

Hate evening showers, I don't feel properly clean the next morning.
Seriously ruins my day if I can't have a shower in the morning for any reason!

Spog · 15/06/2015 18:46

we all sweat in our sleep.
you might not notice it, but you do.
i prefer to wash that off in the morning.
