I don't usually get upset about parking arrangements.. But
We got up extra early to go to an event. Airshow. Happens every year.
We joined the short queue, 10 minutes before the gates opened.
All the early visitors got put into the overflow carpark, while all the later arrivals 11-12 o'clock were put in the main arena car parks.
Gates opened 08:30.
Aibu to be a bit peeved about having to lug toddler, older child, food, drink, buggy etc for a couple of miles over wet muddy ground, while all those who arrived later got the better spaces?
I know that nobody is guaranteed to park where they want, but having to walk in, past all the exhaust fumes of queueing cars wasn't the best start to anybody's day.
Surely it makes more sense to start filling the carpark from the centre? So people are walking past parked cars, not ones trying to get in?

Having worked at several air days I'd say it's so that you have the best opportunity to actually exit post-show. I'd rather walk the extra distance in and out and take a few minutes longer than sit in the hours of queues on exit in all honesty

That is a fair point, we didn't have to queue to escape!
Especially as loads of people started to leave after 2:30, when the red arrows had finished!
