couples walking through shops holding hands

Has anyone ever BARGED through the barrier they create and shouted STOP HOLDING HANDS FGS YOU ANNOYING PEOPLE?
( or perhaps something snappier?)

marks and spencer today - it was like british bloody bulldog, especially when the man LEADS the woman through the shops, swerving past racks of clothes, creating a four foot wide barrier

'Do couple walk around the kitchen holding hands?'

No, we snog and put arms around each other when washing up, sometimes an arse slap if one bends over. But that's for home. Bet you're glad we limited it to hand holding in public now!

I'm sentimental, but I attended a funeral yesterday, if you don't want to hold hands, don't (as with any physical affection). But if you do, do it, kiss, hug, hold hands, tell your other half all the soppy shit, because it can end far too soon.

soapboxqueen · 06/06/2015 17:56

I hold hands with dp all of the time and we've been together for almost 20 years.

Rudeness when out and about has nothing to do with holding hands. Some people are just prattish.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 06/06/2015 17:59

We just lock groins and shuffle along

CruCru · 06/06/2015 18:01

I will occasionally hold DH's hand if convenient but I do think that there is something strange about people who HAVE to hold hands everywhere. When I was younger (and prettier) I'd sometimes get men on the train who would make a big point of holding their partners hand and glaring at me. Now I would understand if I'd followed them around shrieking "Nooooooo! PICK ME INSTEAD!" but I hadn't.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/06/2015 18:02

There were couples SNOGGING in Pret a Manger today. Ugh. Just drink your latte and eat your pastries and leave each other alone fgs.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/06/2015 18:04

Dp and I do 'Simms snogging' in the kitchen - slow mo walk towards each other, sigh, arms wide open, hug, kiss, with musical sound effects.' Small things amuse small minds, etc.

BeautyQueenFromMars · 06/06/2015 21:40

I hold hands with DH at every opportunity, including in shops. I was 33 before I met someone actually willing to hold my hand in public, so I've a lot of making up to do! Grin
I do try to be aware and considerate of other shoppers though.

DaysAreWhereWeLive · 06/06/2015 21:44

Oh, fucking hand holders. What is wrong with you? Are you on a class trip and assigned to a buddy? Angry

anonacfr · 06/06/2015 21:46

I sat next to a couple on a plane once. They sat through the whole two hour flight holding hands including magazine reading time and lunch eating.

Could have killed them.

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2015 21:51

Ive been with dh since we were 18 so 26 years we hold hands still we dont get in anybodies way though i aim to be 1 of those old dears that folk aww at Grin

tilliebob · 06/06/2015 21:54

Yup - been with DH since we were 15 and celebrate 30 years together soon. Still hold hands and couldn't give a fig what anyone else thinks. We're not at the doddery getting in the way stage yet though.

soapboxqueen · 06/06/2015 21:55

My dh and I even have a special way we hold hands. So come the invasion of the body snatchers, I'll know if it isn't him. Grin

CloserToFiftyThanTwenty · 06/06/2015 21:57

I like holding hands with DH

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/06/2015 21:58

Having been ill a lot this year, and often finding it hard to walk without toppling over, I've occasionally had to resort to taking dp's arm in public, in the manner of a Jane Austen character - sadly more Miss Bates than Elizabeth Bennet though. I do try not to get in anybody's way though.

Purplepoodle · 06/06/2015 21:59

So not a hand holder. I'm not three and don't need to be attached to someone, but then I'm and Dh are not into pda's

fieldfare · 06/06/2015 22:01

Big bunch of misery's!
Dh and I normally hold hands when we're out and about, not in a pavement blocking, rude kind of way. Just an I love you, I like touching you and I'm proud you're my husband way. We've been together 9years, I hope we never stop.

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2015 22:01

You should get a lady fan and just pretend you Elizabeth

Mrsjayy · 06/06/2015 22:02

You are*

CatMilkMan · 06/06/2015 22:05

If of barged through me and DP like they suggested they had better keep moving and not attempt to move towards us again.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/06/2015 22:05

V good idea, MrsJ.

my2centsis · 06/06/2015 22:07

Miserable fecker Grin

Phoeberdoos · 06/06/2015 22:08

Frustrated much?

BIWI · 06/06/2015 22:11
Grin Well, OP. DH and I are hand holders. And. We have a joint email account
msgrinch · 06/06/2015 22:12

yanbu, it's annoying. Your "love" doesn't need to block other people going about their day. It kids games to me, no need for it.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 06/06/2015 22:16

Omg, you are ridiculous, we always hold hands. No slobbery kissing in public though, oh no.
