I need to start claiming them due to a change in circumstances. I filled in the online form to request the form and was told it would take two weeks to do the security checks to send me the form. I've just had another email (12 days later) to say they are sending the form and it will take two weeks for this to come through. Once I fill it in, I'm told ti can take up to five weeks to process my claim. So in total 9 weeks potentially.
AIBU in thinking, that this is money for a family with children, 9 weeks to be very short of cash is a really long time to wait, particularly when four of them are just for a form to come in the post?
I know it gets backdated and I hopefully can get by on a credit card so I'm nowhere near as unfortunate as some people, and I don't really have a problem with the 5 week processing time, but 4 weeks for them to send through a bloody form just seems ludicrous.
