To speculate on who's going to die next in Game of Thrones?

Don't worry don't actually know but I am intrigued. There are only three more episodes left including tonight's, and apparently they've said the final one will break the Internet so I'm presuming a big character is going to croak it? But who? They deliberately let us think that it could be one of several people, but I still think it will be someone who we're not expecting, otherwise what's the point?

Speculate as well.

They can't kill Dany until she's gone bat shit crazy like her father and brother. She's showing all the signs that she's slowly going mad, she's narcissistic, arrogant and shallow (would you really choose to shag Daario over Jorah, really?).

She'll never set foot in Westeros IMO, but we still need to see her going loopy and killing everybody and everything before she finally dies herself.

*Are we allowed book spoilers on this thread?

Don't see why not.

Pumpkinpositive · 01/06/2015 16:51

Sansa needs to get her finger out if she's planning to start channelling her inner Sarah Connor.

She's getting less drippy as time goes on but still ever the perennial victim. Sad

Seeing Ramsay get his would be great but they need to leave Roose alone! #sadcrush

Baddz · 01/06/2015 16:53

Ramsey better get his, the frightful fucker.
Jon, probably.
Or brienne.
Or both.

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 01/06/2015 16:53

I'm finding Danaerys annoying too.

She doesn't seem to do much. Sits around looking vacant by day and shags hot bearded me by night.

She's boring. Would like it if she went crazy though.

Yes, I would choose to shag Daario over just about anyone else alive.

Next question! Grin

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 01/06/2015 16:54

Jon Snow still needs to find out the truth about his parentage.

Or is that too soap opera?

Baddz · 01/06/2015 16:57

There are no happy endings joff...you should know that!! Smile
Wouldn't mind if Dany kicked the bucket.
Tres annoying. I skipped her bits in the last book!

Baddz · 01/06/2015 16:57

So people prefer the new daario?
Hmm......

fourchetteoff · 01/06/2015 16:58

Can they really kill off Jon Snow? (I know they can, but hear me out).
It's just that if he is fully bumped off then The Wall is just kind of…hanging there with no main character to hook all the drama on to.

Also, I think the hotness of 'Fit Kit' dying may have too many weeping into their popcorn. I'm assuming that the programmes may deviate wildly from the books.

I can't see Dani dying anytime too, for the same reason. Cersei I could, however, because Marjorie would fit nicely into her place as the next 'boo hiss woman villain'.

I think Ser Jorah has def bought the farm.

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 01/06/2015 17:01

I just thought there might be a Darth Vader 'I am your father' type moment with someone (Stannis? Bronn?) before one of them was bludgeoned, fell to their death or was eaten by a dragon.

loveareadingthanks · 01/06/2015 17:02

'Rickon went East.

Bran has become a tree.'

I don't know why but I just peed myself laughing at work.

I reckon Jorah will sacrifice himself nobly and get the sort of death he would think honorouble, rather than slowly turn to stone.

I think GRRM is thinking 'oh who gives a fuck who JS's parents are, he's going to go'. And I'd be happy because he's boring and miserable all the time, mopey mopey mopey teenager. Mopey voice. Weird droopy mopey cloak fur. Emo to the power of 10.

Internet will explode? White walkers get south of the wall? Everyone realises too fucking late that they are all going to die if they don't start forming one big human army to fight back? Or is everyone rich going to move to Dorn and abandon the commoners to the winter and the walkers? I wonder what a dragon versus White walker battle would look like? Lots of steam...

chippednailvarnish · 01/06/2015 17:02

Daenarys is soooooo dull. I think Jon Snow is going to die and then come back.

Aria for Queen, Tyrion as hand of the Queen...

loveareadingthanks · 01/06/2015 17:06

I want to know why none of the Stark children made for the wall - there's John, their last remaining relative, wee army for protection, wasn't that the obvious course for all of them? OK Bran had to go and find his woooo destiny, but the others? I would have thought they'd send Rickon up there instead of into random poverty probably gone forever, poor little sod. And Arya was close to John and could have got herself there. And it could have been a safer haven for Sansa, maybe? Better up there for winter with the Lannisters not being able to reach her than stuck with Ramsey. OK, there's white walkers, but no one south believes any of that yet.

Baddz · 01/06/2015 17:09

I thought maester aemon would tell him (he was a targaryan after all) but then he went and karked it :(

Baddz · 01/06/2015 17:10

Arya has become a homicidal weirdo

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 01/06/2015 17:10

Jon Snow reminds me soooo much of Neil from The Young Ones.

Every time he comes on screen my little brain thinks, "Vegtable rights and peace!"

Focusfocus · 01/06/2015 17:12

I began by thinking I was supposed to love daenaerys but Christ she's got on my tits. The blonde haired white goddess going and rescuing the poor brown skinned sods being enslaved. And her face, her words, her arrogance, bleaaargh.

I'd be most delighted if she gets killed off.

Ramsey - oh I hate him in my bones. Will deeply relish him dying.

Others I wouldn't mind getting killed off - Jorah (was always a bit meh about him and he's begun to freak me out a little bit), that Red Lady woman who I can't stand mellisandra (sp?), Stannis Baratheon, any of the religious fanatic folk who've taken over kings landing apparently.

But look, I doubt it's going to be one of them. So, that leaves -

Arya and Sansa (unlikely if following book storyline but who knows)
Cersei (she's got loads to give though, so that would be stupid)
Any of the three Tyrells (let's face it, as sexy as people think Natalie Dormer is, they aren't really significant are they)
Tyrion (now that WILL break the internet)
Jon snow (that will at least create a Ned Stark Beheaded wtf moment)
Jaime and brienne (that would also be major as it would be really sad because Jaime has really moved from being sick and horrid to actually likeable)

On a completely different note - I found the Arya Brienne meeting a bit anti climatic. I know Arya is way too independent but I really thought she would find a bit of herself in brienne and vice versa.

tyto · 01/06/2015 17:14

I'd forgotten all about Rickon.

Baddz · 01/06/2015 17:15

Now stannis has grown on me!
And brienne. Found her really irritating at first.
It could be bronn. He was a minor character in the books, his part has been basically made up by the show runners.

Baddz · 01/06/2015 17:17

I think the producers could see which elements weren't working...and the whole "bran turning into a tree" thing was just utterly tedious.
I think Sansa and arya will be the only stark survivors and arya will never go back to winterfell but I do hope she ends up with gendry.
Btw, wtf is gendry!?

Whatisaweekend · 01/06/2015 17:19

OMG Ramsey Bolton!! Not since Joffrey have I so desperately wanted a character to meeting an ultra-grisy end. Sansa and Theon should club together and cut his goolies off with a rusty spoon and have his eyes pecked out by ravens. He is just beyond hideous!

I have never read the books - can I ask anyone more learned, how far is the series ahead of the books now? And does Jaime ever feel more for Brienne than admiration for her honour?

YouTheCat · 01/06/2015 17:22

I love Stannis and his pedantry. Grin

fourchetteoff · 01/06/2015 17:23

Baddz - I look every week at the credits to see if Joe Dempsies name is there! Think I will squee like a teenager when I see his name. And poor chap must be bored of rowing by now.
