Obviously not. People share lifts to save themselves time/effort - it's not compulsory

Without context the question you're asking is a no brainer.

YANBU - but lift sharing does give you more time and saves petrol / the environment.

As long as you're not the one constantly doing the driving. Then it's not sharing.

I think YABU. I would help another parent out if I could and it meant that I wasn't driving out my way. Why wouldn't I?
