We will be going away on our family holiday soon. We are all bookworms so will be equipped with lots of reading material. However, over the years we have developed a tradition of taking a box set of something to watch in the evenings (We always rent a self catering property).

There are three of us - DH, DD and I. DD is 19.

In the past we have all enjoyed:

Life on Mars
Spooks
Buffy
Dexter
Firefly
Sherlock
Game of Thrones

We are trying to think of something for this holiday that we have never seen but potentially would all like. Can anyone suggest any good TV series we might not have thought of?

The Killing (Danish version) is utterly, utterly brilliant telly.

West Wing for something intense.
Black Books or Father Ted for some comedy.

West Wing - brilliant, witty dialogue
White Collar
Suits
Life - with Damian Lewis, it was discontinued after 2 seasons but the plot lines were drawn to a conclusion.
BBC Musketeers - Brilliant
Once Upon a time
Grimm

24, prison break or homeland.

Agree with Breaking Bad definitely.

Vikings - if you liked GoT this may appeal to you - Ilove it, it's one of my favourites and I much prefer it to GoT.

I'm nearly 30 and just thinking about the possibility of sitting through some of the saucy bits of GoT with my mum makes me Confused lol

enjoy your holiday!

ER - brilliant from beginning to end although I'm not sure you'd get through 15 (or is it 16) series during your holiday!

Boston Legal - we discovered this a couple of years ago on holiday in Tenerife, was on one of the cable channels. William Shatner, James Spader, Julie Bowen, Candice Bergen, Lake Bell and Rene Auberjonois to name a few of the cast. Brilliantly funny, although the last part of the last series dipped a bit
