To want smooth legs!?

I do quite a lot of exercise,
If I know I have class or gym I always shave my legs / underarms in the morning !
AIBU to be pissed by the time I get to class or gym in the evening I have a shadow/ beginnings of stubble.
Feel like a hairy beast !

Same here nightsky it can be quite painful at first for arm pits but I shaved waited a day or 2 than epilated it only pulled a few hairs at once so didn't hurt much. Now I have very little armpit hair and like you say a quick run over every few weeks is sufficient. I have a basic model remmington which is fine. Politics of hair removal hasn't come up on this thread but I'm a cyclist and boys do it too

Minshu · 23/05/2015 21:14

Sod the politics. I want smooth legs, without giving a monkeys' about anyone else's! Epilating never worked for me, as if some of my hairs broke off and regrew quickly and others went ingrown. Lumea has been great for under arms and bikini line, and my lighter leg hairs are now beginning to succumb, too.

Op I feel your pain. I have hobbit toes and some gorilla-y patches on the backs of my thighs too.
But what really bothers me is my pits! They are just the pits, literally. Why do people in ads have smooth underarms and how do you get them? Mine are flabby, stubbly, and have loads of lumpy spotty bits...

I have just bought a lumea and done two sessions. I don't want to get too excited, but I am very hopeful that it is going to work, pretty sure I have some smooth patches already and there is loads less hair. I am also one of those shave your legs and stubble 12 hours later types.

The one thing I wanted to know - I have a few horrible chin hairs which I have been zapping, but I really don't want to be shaving them in between treatment. Is it alright to zap and then pluck until the next time?

Yeah, me too, always had horrible bumpy legs and epilator gave me loads of ingrowing hair. I am very excited about this. If it works I wish I had done it years ago!

HappenstanceMarmite · 24/05/2015 10:29

CynthiaRose No don't pluck in between else you are interrupting the hair growth cycle. Needs to be shaved not pulled out by roots or Lumea has nothing to zap. I think that's how it works.

I use stripease sugaring and fabric strips, both on amazon - it works perfectly and you don't have the stickiness of wax because it dissolves in water. I much prefer it for my fanny because I can take off exactly what I want without having to expose my delicate areas to a stranger's eyes.
