totally. but I can't bear people being 'at themselves' in front of me. really makes my stomach churn; nail biting, at their eyes/ears etc. UGH.

Totally. Any tooth picker worth their salt knows that sweet wrappers just don't cut it. The best tool is a torn off corner of a rail ticket.

sorry couldn't get back to this sooner as i've been up to hi-do all week.

the teeth sucker is here again, lounging on the couch, sucking his teeth like billy-oh, with about 10 second intervals. this will go on as long as he keeps remembering to do it - which could be the entire night.

tooth floss has been offered. the loud squeaky "pppssssssssssfffffffffffffttttt" noise he's making when he sucks his teeth drives me up the wall. tooth floss has been refused.

just waiting for him to grab the crisp packet corner and get at the tooth and gum picking.

I did this for the first time ever last week. I was delighted at my own inventiveness. Now I realise that I am late to the picking party

Best thing to do is hair as tooth floss. Works every time.

Don't feed people food then that can get stuck in teeth. Alternatively carry tooth picks so you can offer those. It can be painful to have food stuck in your teeth what have they to do suck it up as you don't like it!? Get a grip

My DH does this. It drives me bananas. And he'll chew all around the rim of a polystyrene or paper cup or one of those yoghurt drink containers. Every. Single. Time. It gives me inexplicable rage.

But At least whilst he's doing that, he's not picking his nose or gnawing at the segs on his hands.

Tooth picks his minging. I remember an episode of come dine with me where ackntestant kept moaning that there were no toothpicks provided. Blergh! Cannot stand the thought of people all sitting dislodging bits of food from teeth, go to bathroom and floss dfs!

Nah, don't need a sweet wrapper. I'm just using one of my earrings. And then putting it back in to my ear.

he's picking away at food remnants between his teeth using a plastic chocolate wrapper. this will go on all night. the tooth floss would sort it in 15 seconds.

but - picking teeth is a ritual to be enjoyed along with:-
farting very loudly,
not washing hands after the toilet,
doing snot rockets in public especially at the beach where barefooted people will walk on them,
picking the nose and flicking the crusty snots on the carpet,
cleaning the inner ears with keys that are then handled by others,
leaving large pools of urine on the loo seat and floor,
doing snot rockets into the bathroom sink and toilet but leaving the deposits to crust and dry on the surfaces instead cleaning them away.

I am a teeth picker . I just cannot bear the feeling of anything being stuck between my teeth. It is almost an obsession. I will use anything i can get my hands on to dislodge any particles of food that get stuck. Sorry.
