Disclaimer: I am aware of how silly this makes me sound .

I am a makeup artist and I follow a lot of other MUAs on YouTube and love watching tutorials.

There are lots of annoying and disingenuous shills on there but there are a small handful of people who I really admire and think are genuine and down to earth.

Within the last month two of these people have had their lips done. Both in their 20's with perfectly lovely mouths. I feel bizarrely disappointed in them.

I know, I know.....they're grown women with full autonomy over their own bodies and it's categorically none of my business but it makes me sad to see people so young casually mentioning (and imo normalising) surgical procedures. They also both have ridiculous haemhorroid lips now too.

I'm BU aren't I but oh well I needed to let it out anyway

I avoid YouTube, I don't like being patronised and told how to apply eyeliner. I suppose I'm not in their target group though

They can do whatever they want with their faces, but ultimately if they have put themselves in the public domain deliberately and make their living on their faces then they should expect to be judged for that.

P.s. Who are you talking about?

As far as I'm concerned, anything that transforms how you look is on a continuum with make up, particularly the new contouring trend, being the 'thin end of the wedge' so to speak. Therefore if you use make up to change your appearance I think you're wrong to judge.

Eyelash extensions and HD Brows also change the look of the face on a semi-permanent basis. Would you judge people with those?
