The worst ones are when they don't even let you hold

LuisSuarezTeeth · 13/05/2015 12:15

57 minutes and 12 games of solitaire

Oh this is painful and why can't you have the option not to listen to the shit music?

Fuckers

This gives me THE RAGE. They make you pay from when you're connected, so you listening to shit music at your expense, or they place you on hold after selecting seven different options and then fucking disconnect you!

I had a nightmare with them last year, with repeated fuck ups on their side, and had to endure over seven hours on hold in total to sort it out. I sent a letter of complaint via my MP, and they refunded my call costs and my time spent on it

CoffeeAndBiscuitsPlease · 13/05/2015 12:21

2 and a half hours, TWICE!! Sat on the floor as the phone doesnt reach and i don't have loudspeaker. I was all ready to kick off when the lady andwered but she was bloody ;lovely and helpful. And it wasn't her fault.

Bloody tax credits...

YesIDidMeanToBeSoRudeActually · 13/05/2015 12:24

My complaint last year also involved HMRC income tax dept which are just as shit.

I'm sure you all make a note of the time and date of call, plus who you spoke to, as half the time they don't action anything you call about anyway.

HMRC have a charter, see point 9 which is interesting. I think people should complain about excessive wait times and charges to contact a government service.

Finally through but on hold again Angry

An hour and a half is my record.

Thankfully 03 numbers are included in my mobile minutes so it doesn't cost to phone them. I didn't realise that last year and it cost me £30 in calls to sort out a cock up with the claim that wasn't my fault.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 13/05/2015 12:38

My complaint was re healthy start who still (now its a new tax year and they have no excuses re entitlement) havent finished our claim. They tell us to ring tax credits, an hour on the phone (sorting out what is in effect an internal issue and should be done by HS themselves!) for tax credits to tell us they have no access to the info, it is automated!!

HighwayDragon · 13/05/2015 12:41

56 minutes here, for a 10minute chat Angry

use saynoto0870 for local number

LuisSuarezTeeth · 13/05/2015 12:49

1 hour 20! But finally sorted.

Cost £7.20 - ouch

I spent 3 hours separately in one hour blocks last week on hold to them trying to sort out a mistake they made (we started receiving high rate dla for my youngest and I needed to let them know and for some unknown reason they completely removed my husbands income from the claim even though I made it clear that hadn't changed).

I then received a phone bill with about £25 worth of bills just to them for the privilege. Wonderful.

Hissy · 13/05/2015 13:50

over 2 hours, and i still didn't get through - had to hang up as I needed to leave for the airport.

as it was, my home phone was due to cut out anyway through flattened battery...
