Ok, posting here in the hope that someone can point me in the right direction, one of my sons has his promise coming up and wants to wear a dress with high heels.

I have no idea where to find a dress that will be cut to suit him, he is medium height but slender and obviously flat chested ( although he's not averse to 'getting' booms for the night.

Is there any where I can take him to shop or are there any online shops that cater for him? I've tried googling but getting nowhere.

Thanks

Wow, he is actually stunning, what a gorgeous face! I like the look as it is and think flat chested looks great. He rocks this look!

chinam · 19/05/2015 21:48

I know I'm late to the party but I wanted to say that I think you are doing a great job with your son. It's wonderful to see someone being accepted just the way they are. I hope he has a great time at the prom.

Talismania · 20/05/2015 03:45

He looks stunning. What a great dress!

Chipshopninja · 20/05/2015 07:44

He looks awesome and very confident.

TheCunnyFunt · 20/05/2015 07:59

He looks fabulous, he will look amazing all glammed up for the prom! I think a flat chest works well with that dress.

Brantano do womens shoes up to a 9 so maybe try there?

Hope to see a pic of him on prom night, love the idea of a Jessica Rabbit style hair do!

OrlandoWoolf · 20/05/2015 07:59

Considering some of the views on MN at the moment by some people, it's really nice to see positive comments on here.

I hope he had a nice time - and that he was treated well by the other people at the prom.

TheCunnyFunt · 20/05/2015 08:00

Orlando the prom isn't until July :)

OrlandoWoolf · 20/05/2015 08:03

Ok - I hope he will be treated well by other people - or not subject to abuse and bullying by them. Luckily the children of today are much more open and tolerant and aware than previous generations.

DragonWithAGirlTattoo · 20/05/2015 08:08

Aw he looks fantastic

*I'm a bit late to the party, but for next time check out forever 21 I love their stuff

Well done mum

OrlandoWoolf · 20/05/2015 09:21

Do his friends at school know? Do other people know?

I hope he realises the potential consequences of having a picture of him wearing a dress posted on the Internet. I'm sure he does and you do - but some children (and some adults) can be incredibly cruel - been there, done that and suffered the consequences. Posting a picture of yourself wearing a dress can have unforeseen consequences with bullying.

Mrsstarlord · 20/05/2015 09:26

OP has already said that he is very happy, has lots of friends and is very open and confident - so no worries there Smile

OrlandoWoolf · 20/05/2015 09:39

Missed that post.

We live in different times Grin

Fooshufflewickbannanapants · 20/05/2015 10:05

Orlando thank you for your concern, he really is very happy with himself as he is and has a plethora of amazing friends who support him. If I had any doubts at all about his safety or emotional health I wouldn't have posted, he is a very articulate and welll rounded boy and I did reiterate that once a pic is out there it's out there, but he came to the conclusion that he is happy to post the pic. I do appreciate though that he is in a privileged position by having amazing friends and not everyone has that support.

We do, it's great isn't it? My stepson avoided coming out because he didn't know what the reaction would be, which was really sad as he spent a few years worrying unnecessarily (as we already knew and weren't remotely bothered by it, although in fairness his stepdad was a dick).
This is how things should be.

Mrsstarlord · 20/05/2015 10:07

Sorry, cross posted as got interrupted in the middle of typing!

mrstiggy · 20/05/2015 10:11

He sounds like a real credit to you OP. The dress looks fabulous and I hope he has a wonderful time. Smile

spiderlight · 20/05/2015 10:20

He looks absolutely fabulous, what a brilliant mother you are and what a great group of supportive friends he has. He looks better in a frock than I do.

helenahandbag · 20/05/2015 21:01

That dress is amazing, he is rocking it!

queeneileen · 20/05/2015 21:23

Oh he looks amazing in that dress, it suits his frame perfectly.

I agree with red hair and accessories.

He's going to be (even more) stunning on the night!

TheSkyIsAwake · 20/05/2015 21:43

What a lovely thread! Hope he enjoys his prom.

Shonajay · 20/05/2015 22:20

You can get pants on ebay quite cheap that give you a bum, you could pad them at the sides to give him hips too maybe- if he's up and down shaped. Hope he has a fab time.

VelvetRose · 20/05/2015 23:03

Your son looks absolutely fantastic! I hope he has a completely amazing time at the prom! Smile

chiruri · 20/05/2015 23:08

He is a seriously good looking boy. He's going to be drop-dead gorgeous at the prom. I'd definitely vote for pillar box red heels and nails. Maybe go for a deep red on the hair to make it more sophisticated and less cartoony than pillar box.
