to be annoyed that aupair has left most of her stuff behind to pick up "when she visits"?

Aupair has left early due to a medical issue. I think she was in denial about probably not coming back (things were okay/good between us). Despite my hints (not lost in translation) that she should take her things back/post them back...she hasn't. And she complained of her pain (she was on very strong painkillers) before she left for the airport, so I couldn't really tell her to take her suitcases then. So I am stuck in a small house stuffed with toys already and staring at a 30kilo case and a rucksack (for "when she returns to visit England"). I keep on telling myself not to be so uptight and to be grateful for a good 2 months with her. Btw, nothing dodgy inside them as she more or less packed them in front of me. I have told her that they have to be picked up by someone by September. AIBU about my annoyance? Am I just a walkover?

Hi I don't think you are being unreasonable at all - can't you get in touch with the agency who are/were responsible for her?
Hope you get sorted - it would wind me up too! Xx

You don't have a lot of compassion. I presume she'd rather have taken her stuff.

Poor woman was ill!

lottiesatitagain · 10/05/2015 22:52

There is a company sendabag I think that will ship them to her cheaply

LAGWAFIS · 10/05/2015 22:53

Can't you send the stuff to her?

MakeItACider · 10/05/2015 22:54

September? You're a saint! I wouldn't want to keep bags for that long in a small house.

iwaly · 10/05/2015 22:54

I feel more sorry for her than you at the moment. But if you can ship them to her that is a good idea.

ImperialBlether · 10/05/2015 22:55

Use this company - Send My Bag, OP - I used it recently and it cost me £15 to have a bag sent from Stirling to Liverpool. It will be good for you to just get it out of the way.

It's only a suitcase. Chill out. Presumably she'll want her stuff as soon as she can.
