To think this 68yo world-record-smashing runner (f) is a phenomenon?

Angela Copson has smashed the world record (for over 65yo women) for a 10k run with a time of 40:30. She already holds the world record for over 65yo women for the marathon - 3hrs 17 minutes - and a lot of other records at other distances too.

She only took up running nine years ago and wasn't into sport as a schoolgirl. Extraordinary! Well done to her.

Yes I just saw her on TV I think, she's fab!

Just goes to show anyone can get fit, if they want to.

Well done her! DP runs, and I'm always surprised at how many older people run, and run well!

Yes indeed. My husband's nearly 60 and his PB for 5k is 23.15, which is good for his age, but way behind Angela!

I've recently (in the last month) picked up running after not having done it for 20 odd years. I'm 52 next month and I'm currently running 10k in 56 min. I can't imagine being able to run fast enough to catch Angela over any distance Grin. Fantastic, inspiring story.
