On social media

All I get is abuse. No one willing to have a decent discussion just idiots shouting and swearing at me.

It's just made me think what's the point.

The postitive and the negative thing about living in a democracy is that shouty sweary idiot people are allowed to express their opinions. It's both a blessing and a curse.

Chin up. There's always the next one Wink

Discuss it in person with others.

There's likely to be less unpleasantness, people aren't hiding behind a screen and being twats for the sake of it.

I'm just rolling my eyes at it all tbh. Try and ask for evidence and stats or provide them to back up my side and....I get called every name under the sun. Where's the fun in that?!

Try discussing it in real life with real people. Much easier for people to stay polite.

Aren't you fed up of discussing politics on here?

VashtaNerada · 10/05/2015 09:41

Depending on your political persuasion, this may not be the right time to start a calm debate. Many people are genuinely scared and upset that the new government will negatively affect the most vulnerable in society. The extent to which this is true certainly deserves debate but don't judge too harshly those who are extremely emotional at the moment.
