I have a sicky feeling in the pit of my stomach that we are going to be lumbered with 5 more years of Tory rule. Please let it not be so.

Perhaps all the vulnerable people, whether they voted or not, might be feeling a little optimistic because with a stable economy there will be more chance to work, more chance to earn a better wage and more chance to get off benefits. And there will be more money to help those who really need it.

Cherrybakewell33 · 08/05/2015 00:18

But the money is being cut from the people who need it. If I lost my job I'd be terrified as it so difficult to find a job around here.

meglet · 08/05/2015 00:18

and what about the vulnerable people who can't work in the supposed thriving tory economy? The mentally and physically ill, the carers?

girlylala · 08/05/2015 00:23

Yea a stable economy and more jobs will be fan fucking tastic for people with life limiting diseases, you know, people who struggle to get out of bed each day but don't quite tick enough boxes in the decision makers opinion to be considered unfit for work. Then when they are sacked for taking to much time off sick from said job they are then sanctioned for being intentionally unemployed.
So yea. Great idea. But you know as long as these scrounges are not on benefits it's ok by you yea?

Cherrybakewell33 · 08/05/2015 00:25

I'd love to know where these jobs are going to be plucked from. There are regularly over 500 people applying for a handful of jobs around here, perfectly good people are being turned away time after time from jobs because there is simply too much demand.

Bellebelle · 08/05/2015 00:29

Goblin so how long do those who need help have to wait to see the benefits of this stable economy the Tories are going to create? How many years of struggling until it gets better and the Tory government decide to put more money into the welfare system? Probably never, they know who voted for them, people who mainly don't need help from the state and want lower taxes.

chandalier · 08/05/2015 00:32

Can't believe what I have read from some posters on here Hmm.

I hope Cammy gets back in. The thought of labour running this country makes my blood run cold. Christ what a mess they made last time Confused

Janus · 08/05/2015 00:33

I had a friend who had severe organ failure and, I think a triple or double organ transplant. She has to go to hospital in London once or twice a week to get anti-rejection tablets and various blood tests etc to make sure the organs are working. She needs a walking stick to walk, mobility scooter if we went to somewhere like a zoo which required longer walking, had so many other related health issues, fingers that needed operating on, etc. She was told her DLA was to be stopped as she could 'sit on a till in Tescos' and get herself a job. She managed to go through months of worry and protest and keep her allowance but REALLY??? Walk in someones shoes before you think benefits are generously given out.
I have to stop now!!

Let's hope there is some better news in the morning!

Bellebelle · 08/05/2015 00:33

Ah yes, Labour who caused the global financial crisis, how irresponsible but quite impressive that was...

Bellebelle · 08/05/2015 00:36

And sorry, but "Cammy"? Eww!

I've had the displeasure of meeting the man twice and he's a rude, disrespectful (insert suitable swear word here)

chandalier · 08/05/2015 00:38

I expect you deserved it Belle

America52 · 08/05/2015 00:39

chandelier Do you rely on tax credits to top your wage up? Do you rely on child benefit to help buy food/nappies/milk for your baby, or to help towards clothing/school uniform for your child? Does the bedroom tax affect you? Are you disabled?

Janus · 08/05/2015 00:39

It wasn't Labour who caused the global financial problem!!! Good God how could we ruin the world's entire economy??!!! It was a GLOBAL problem, nearly every country suffered except Australia and Canada and it has been agreed that it was due to incorrect bank regulation which has now been altered. It would have happened whoever was in power.

chandalier · 08/05/2015 00:41

No because I waited 10 years until I could really afford to have my children. I did not expect the state to pay.

squoosh · 08/05/2015 00:42

Cammy?

Christ almighty.

girlylala · 08/05/2015 00:43

I'm throwing the towel in. To tired for this shit now.

What I've learnt this evening is that Tory voters are unapologetic about condemning the poor and the disabled to further cuts in income. They are selfish, self absorbed individuals who don't give a shit about others in society. You genuinely disgust me. Not that you care. You fuckers seem to be breeding.

Goodnight.

chandalier · 08/05/2015 00:44

Yes Cammy... sorry if it offends Smile

Janus · 08/05/2015 00:45

You will many, many people who waited until they could afford children who then lost jobs, got ill, had a child with SN and found themselves unable to cope. I hope no-one in your household has that misfortune and then has to turn to 'Cammy' for help.

Cherrybakewell33 · 08/05/2015 00:45

Most people wait until they can afford their children but shit happens and people lose their jobs, become ill etc all the time.

girlylala · 08/05/2015 00:46

My friend wIted till she could afford kids. Then she became a single parent. Then she was diagnosed with Ms. Can't work now. So I wouldn't be so smug about affording kids as you have no idea what the future holds.

Janus · 08/05/2015 00:47

*You will FIND many, many ...'

chandalier · 08/05/2015 00:47

Most don't wait, you are wrong, sorry.

squoosh · 08/05/2015 00:47

Tory voters never get sick or suffer personal hardship. Cammy sees to that!

chandalier · 08/05/2015 00:48

girl they are all grown up now, sorry to disappoint you.

CupidStuntSurvivor · 08/05/2015 00:49

chandalier I also waited until I could afford children before I had my DD. Household earnings were 60k.

My ex became abusive while I was pregnant and I was made redundant.

Get off your fucking high horse.
