I have a sicky feeling in the pit of my stomach that we are going to be lumbered with 5 more years of Tory rule. Please let it not be so.

Self pity Grin
Not self pity, realistic thinking. I love how the choices I made are the reason I am in my current situation.

squoosh · 08/05/2015 01:13

Man up?

Are you really that dim that you are 'shocked' that some people's social and economic position in life is different to yours?

Cherrybakewell33 · 08/05/2015 01:14

Amazing isnt it. My brother in law said I was 'sad' for voting that he doesn't care as it wont affect him. madness.

Janus · 08/05/2015 01:15

Chandelier you are seriously out of order, I'm assuming you or your family have never had to reach out a hand for help. Well lucky you but how dare you tell people to man up. Go and find a thread praising the Tory party, oh, and good luck with finding one. You are rude.

squoosh · 08/05/2015 01:15

Voting Labour (even with their many faults) is better for society. People only vote Conservative because they think it will benefit them personally.

crapfatbanana · 08/05/2015 01:17

I only bought enough booze to keep me going until 4am, not 2020.

Janus · 08/05/2015 01:18

Thank you crap, I needed that, made me giggle!!!

chandalier · 08/05/2015 01:19

You are all so deluded. I was watching labour mess up when getting elected before you lot were even born. It happens every single time they get in. They just don't have a clue.

SabrinnaOfDystopia · 08/05/2015 01:20

Voting for labour is always better for society. It's the one thing I took away from a Sociology subsidiary course at university. It was actually more interesting than my main course.

Exactly bump any one of us could quite easily become the vulnerable, but clearly lots of people don't care about that!

fixedit · 08/05/2015 01:22

Good for you Bump. I wish everyone had a decent attitude towards their country as that.

Seeingthebeautyineveryminute · 08/05/2015 01:22

It's like the 1980's all over again.

Tory voter in 2015 "you shouldnt have kids unless you can afford it"
Tory voter in 2045 -2050 "You should have had kids to help care for you in your old age instead of expecting the state to do it"

Cherrybakewell33 · 08/05/2015 01:24

I'm bowing out as my two year old is now crying (even she knows how bad this is Grin)

Hoping for a wrong exit poll by the morning, unlikely of course but one can hope! Goodnight all.

SabrinnaOfDystopia · 08/05/2015 01:24

Yes, seeing I just texted that to my friend!

Janus · 08/05/2015 01:24

Well said Bump, it's a country I'd rather live in too.

SabrinnaOfDystopia · 08/05/2015 01:26

I just said that we spent our teens watching the tories get in over and over - and now our teen children will be growing up under a tory govt :(

Patsyandeddie · 08/05/2015 01:27

Don't worry chandelier I'm with you, the thought of labour makes me want to reach for the meths! Some people have a very short memory - they dumped us into the worst recession in 50 years and don't even start me on Gordon brown and pensions! By the way I work full time and am not rich!!

fixedit · 08/05/2015 01:27

Brilliant Helena. One of their allegedly leaked cuts (although it may be bullshit) is to carers allowance. Ah yes, forgetting that these carers on 62 quid a week are saving the country millions and millions in state care.

Janus · 08/05/2015 01:27

Have to get up for school run in 5 hours ! I must sleep too! Good night, sleep if you can!

squoosh · 08/05/2015 01:28

Sound like you've already been on the meths.

Katiebeau · 08/05/2015 01:28

On a more flippant note anyone else noticed that Zac Goldsmith sounds exactly like Nick Clegg? It's profound!!
