to think it should be conceivable to have three women party leaders

For example, or at least some kind of diversity. It seems almost unimaginable, we are so used to it being men now. Am I the only one who finds a 'choice' of three middle aged brown haired dads all of similar ages somewhat depressing?

Well its conceivable in Scotland! We have Nichola Sturgeon (SNP) and Ruth Davidson (Conservative). Labour leader is currently Jim Murphy but was previously Johann Lamont.
I have watched a First Ministers Question Time that was a three way debate between those three women. It was a great thing to see.

Margaret Thatcher was pretty popular during my teens and 20s!

Btw not with me I might add! Smile

Well you don't vote for the party leaders anyway. Locally we have a much more diverse range to vote for than the leaders, iyswim.

We would have more female party leaders if more women wanted to be in high level politics.

3 of the 7 leaders in the earlier debate were women. One of them will almost certainly win more seats than Clegg.

Odd to call the current situation unimaginable. YABU
