I love pulling out bristly eyebrow hairs and tickling my upper lip with the end of it. That's really weird isn't. Please join in and make me feel better about myself...

Ooh, Roses - I'm a boob holder!

SaucyJack · 30/04/2015 18:47

I have found my people!

I either swear or say one of my meaningless stock phrases when I think of something embarrassing.

I think it's a bit of an OCD thing.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 30/04/2015 18:55

I have trichotillomania but pull the hairs from my scalp. It's really hard to stop. I also pull or bite the skin off my lips until they feel smooth and bleed

SarfEasticatedMumma · 30/04/2015 19:22

I feel honoured to have brought us all together ??
Surely boob holding is just common sense - they're so soft - unless they're not yours of course.

I go one further than lip-picking. I chew all the skin off the inside of my cheeks. Not usually in public though, because it involves pulling some really odd faces.

MissMuesli · 30/04/2015 20:32

I also hold my boobs!! I love, love, love when I sit in front of OH and he holds my boobs for me! I've explained the appeal for me and how it makes me feel secure and fair play to the man he never takes advantage.. just holds them!

Whatthefucknameisntalreadytake · 30/04/2015 20:34

I am almost constantly making a figure of 8 with my index finger on my thumb nail

FindoGask · 30/04/2015 20:38

Another hair puller here. My eyebrows get terribly sparse at the edges if I don't watch it. Also I do this weird thing when I'm tired (and either on my own or just family) - if I'm watching telly I absently take my wedding ring off and place it perfectly around the end of my nose and just let it sit there for a bit.

My husband is a nervous-scratcher - I can always tell when he's uncomfortable in a social situation. People are funny old creatures really - closer to our monkey cousins than we realise.

Shakey1500 · 30/04/2015 20:50

I like picking bits off rugs/carpets. Tiny little stones are such a find Smile

I also adore untangling necklaces, chains, ropes, string, anything of that ilk. The finer and more knotted the better. I would be in my element doing that as a full time job

Vacancy- Necklace untangle-er, Salary- £1,000,000 p.a

I go through my hair until I find ones that feel bumpy or coarse and I pull them out. I am always playing with my hair and can tie little knots with one hand (they unknot straight after). I've never really thought about whether I could have trichotillomania... It's definitely a constant thing though, always have my hands in my hair.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 30/04/2015 21:02

Stormy I do that too without realising then think it probably looks like I'm giving some weird pouts

flumpysocks · 30/04/2015 21:15

Yep, i have trichotillomania as well. From one spot on my head, which varies between bald and wispy hairs as a result depending on how bad i am. I also do the skin picking, lips and inside of cheeks. All related to body dysmorphia in my case.

Laloue23 · 30/04/2015 21:20

Another eyelash and brow puller here when stressed, I met another one at work recently and we thought we were the only weird ones!

ImTakingTheEssence · 30/04/2015 21:22

I do a nose twitch thing like a rabbit, it sounds like my nose is cracking. I mainly do it in the mornings and if it doesnt make the cracky noise I get panicky and do it over an over again.

Mummatron3000 · 30/04/2015 21:23

I use my pinkie nail to rub inside my nostril until I sneeze Blush so strange!
When I was younger I used to stick my pinkie inside my eyelids.... Yuck!!

Mummatron3000 · 30/04/2015 21:24

imtaking my DH does that nose cracking thing, especially when he's reading, drives me mad!

ImTakingTheEssence · 30/04/2015 21:31

Yey! Im not a freak im pleased someone else does it Grin

emwithme · 30/04/2015 22:06

Oh yes to the boob holding. DH gets jealous so I say that he could hold them if he wanted but he always gets carried away and starts fondling and sometimes I just want them held not groped. I'd really like a bra made of hands

KentonArcher · 30/04/2015 22:30

Oh my, where to start ...

Instead of a moustache with my hair, I kind of wrap a strand around the end of nose and pull it tight (I'd like to bet those with long hair are all trying it now - takes practice). It makes a little bump on the end of your nose. Have been caught doing this at work Blush

When watching tv, my foot is always drawing patterns in the air ...

Sometimes, I can be stood still, but then feel the need to almost assume a fighting stance, so will jump into a 'hands prepared for combat' pose. Just for a couple of seconds, then resume whatever I was doing.

Oh dear God, please let no one recognise me!

Nayville · 30/04/2015 22:30

I do the run of the mill thing of chewing fingernails and the skin around them. Have done for years and years.

I also realised the other night that when laying in bed I always find myself most comfortable with the left hand in my left boob and right hand between my legs!!

On The Top of the area though, not inside Blush

Nayville · 30/04/2015 22:32

Oh I used to crack the old knuckles but that has lessened a great deal over the years.

I like to feel the inside seam of my slipper sock with my big toe. So much comfort.

Breadrocks · 30/04/2015 23:04

I get the sponge thing, although my chew thing of choice is a muslin or flannel. Can't help it, I love the feeling of chewing material, and it tastes like washing powder which I love. I also love chewing ice cubes. Weird, but true.

shellsocks · 30/04/2015 23:24

I count syllables on my fingers whilst people are talking or to the talking on the telly Blush It got really bad when I was younger, but I have managed to do it less and less over time thankfully!

DarthVadersTailor · 30/04/2015 23:37

I bite the tiny bits of skin at the edge of my finger nails, as well as bite off the nails themselves.

I constantly play with a little ball of blue tack on my desk at work even though it leaves a weird film on my fingers.

I like to play with the fluff that accumulates in my belly button.

I click my knuckles, wrists, ankles and toes all in sequence when I'm sitting down but restless.

I quite like chewing the inside of my cheek sometimes.
