I'm on a bench in town waiting for a friend. A lady has sat down on the other end. Before she sat down she brushed some rubbish up my end - looks like an old receipt and a chocolate wrapper. Shall I bat it back down her end to see what she does? We might get a game going.

You should have chased after her with the rubbish in hand and said 'Excuse me, you forgot this' and reported back to us what her response was

Am meeting friend next week, same time, same place. I will look out for rubbish - batting lady, entice her onto my bench with some strategically placed waste paper, instigate a batting match -and report back with the score :) Yes, I am sad and have nothing better to do
