School run wearing almost nothing. Why?

I have thought this through and decided I'm not in the least unreasonable but this still seems like the best place for it Grin

Yesterday, afternoon school run, a couple (parents) walking ahead of me, wearing:

(man) white sports shirt plus shorts (woman) some sort of sports top, I forget, plus shorts that can only be described as painted on, lycra, see through, swimwear material just covering the arse. Orange fake tanned legs and (both) MATCHING DAY GLO ORANGE TRAINERS.

Arms round each other and a few sneaky bum-rubs going on, in front of everyone, clearly unable to keep their hands off each other but honestly is this display of anatomy really necessary?

It was really difficult walking behind them as short of turning round and going back home, I had to just try and find somewhere to look that didn't involve her arse and his hands.

We knew a couple who used to sit draped all over each other at dinner parties, restaurants etc.

It was all , " Look at us - we're SOOOOO in love!"

Until she kicked him out for shagging a woman across the road.

id be a bit Confused ...with that on the school run, ...theres a mum of my sons class who turns up wearing some outfits Grin

I was an academic librarian in a former life and our head librarian once asked somebody to leave the uni library because she was wearing only a bikini and flip flops.

Given that a student survey later that year found that 19% of students admitted to having had sex in the library, I think the bikini was the tip of the inappropriate iceberg.

I have dayglo orange trainers Sad but in fairness i only every wear them to the gym, they are too bright for wearing around town.

Psipsina · 29/04/2015 15:57

There is nothing wrong with even day glo orange trainers in the right context. Do you make your husband or partner wear them at the same time? If so it is a slippery slope Grin

My guess is it wasn't a fashion statement, far more likely they'd just finished a run or been to the gym.

The bum groping is a bit much though, I agree. It's a bit of a teenage thing to do but then, I'm pretty anti-PDA so this sort of thing would have made me feel slightly queasy Grin, typical prudish Brit...

Oh your description of them really reminds me of a couple I know.

Op, your not in Somerset are you?!

I would be looking for a different school with better dressed parents, immediately.
