For me, it's the ignorance on vaccinations and the belief that measles is just a regular childhood disease. Makes me want to beat people with a large stick.

I'll pop out now and scour waitrose after the school run Wink

ReluctantCamper · 29/04/2015 14:48

Infant male circumcision. I go on some American parenting websites where it's the norm, and I want to shout at them leave your children's genitals alone, just because it was done to you/your DP, doesn't make it not mutilation . But I don't because being ranted at by some stranger on the internet will not make you change your life choices. I think it really quite hard though, and silently judge them

windchime · 29/04/2015 14:51

People who smoke.
Litter louts.
Dog walkers who don't pick up the dirt.
People who live on takeaways.
The parents who drop the kids at school late every single day just get out of bed 10 minutes earlier you hopeless feckers
People who still think sunbathing is a good thing to do.

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 29/04/2015 14:51

Ahem

Talk guidelines

lemonyone · 29/04/2015 14:53

YY Reluctant.

I really judged a friend for this as she had her 2DSs circumcised so they'd 'look like daddy'.
We'll, I've got a massive C-section scar and crooked front teeth but I'm not going to rush out and alter my child's body just to look like mine!

And the preventative medical reasons seem so laboured and bogus. Yes, some DCs get phimosis etc, but it still doesn't seem a strong enough argument. Some kids get glue ear, but we don't stick tubes in every child's ears to prevent it!

Sallystyle · 29/04/2015 14:54

I never had a tattoo to look different Hmm

I know loads of people have them.

I judge people who think people have tattoos to look different.

SunnyBaudelaire · 29/04/2015 14:55

OK yes dog walkers who invariably have dogs with diarrhoea and when you say something to them as their dogs squirt liquid faeces blithely around the park, they say 'ooh your not from round ere are you?''.
That really did happen by the way!

oh yes and more dog walkers whose dogs are free to bound about and knock over small children and as you scoop up your tearful child from the mud they say 'ooh he is just being friendly!'

shrunkenhead · 29/04/2015 14:56

No idea, Arse, it's the latest thing like some people accuse people of "playing the race card"

Blazing88 · 29/04/2015 14:58

Judgy about people who have dogs..and then leave them in the house all day alone. And don't take them for walks.

Higgle · 29/04/2015 15:01

People who breed from their dog. People who drop cigarette ends out of their car into the road. People who think a big wedding is very important.

Nayville · 29/04/2015 15:02

Re the inappropriate weather attire :
When dd was a baby I was very judgy when I saw kids without jackets in the rain or freezing cold. The she turned 2 and for a long time refused to have her coat on outside in crap weather. I was given many a judgy look and felt terrible! Also felt bad for past judgments.

Nayville · 29/04/2015 15:10

YES to someone mentioning people who leave their wee or poo scattered on a public toilet. Fgs, clean up after yourselves you absolute dirty scruffs

People who can't really talk about anything but themselves.

mangoespadrille · 29/04/2015 15:13

Smokers outside the hospital doors, especially ones with huge baby bumps.
People who leave their wheely bins on the street for three days after bin day.
People who crudely paint their house number on their wheely bin instead of paying 50p for number stickers.
People who don't indicate. How lazy can you get?

BreakingDad77 · 29/04/2015 15:14

Child has attention problems but has Energy drinks and is pre-teens

squoosh · 29/04/2015 15:16

People who crudely paint their house number on their wheely bin instead of paying 50p for number stickers.

That made me Grin

It's amazing the random things people are irritated by.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 29/04/2015 15:18

Breaking dad there is a school of thought that caffeine helps ADHD..because it is a stimulant as is Ritalin. At least be informed before being ignorant.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 29/04/2015 15:19

Oops I meant before being judgy. Sorry. Seriously.

Gottagetmoving · 29/04/2015 15:25

Mothers ( or Fathers) who want to be their child's friend more than wanting to be a parent.
People who let their dog run up to you and say 'he won't hurt/bite you'
Parents who never let their children play out.
People who are always late.
Anyone who does not clear up their own mess and expect others to do it.

mangoespadrille · 29/04/2015 15:28

sqoosh I was enjoying this thread til it got all shouty and the racism/anti-SN buns starting flying, thought I'd try and reel it in a bit with something a bit more light hearted. Maybe it should've been "all those bloody SN foreigners crudely painting their numbers in their wheely bins"! Smile

hazeyjane · 29/04/2015 15:31

Shrunken, you were the one who accused posters on mumsnet of 'playing the sn card..' - what did you mean by it?

BreakingDad77 · 29/04/2015 16:03

FanjoForTheMammaries that may be true but they had not read about those schools of thought and aren't there more appropriate treatments out there?

ouryve · 29/04/2015 16:11

shrunkenhead Wed 29-Apr-15 12:21:31

People who play the SN card for EVERYTHING.....A phenomena I have only ever seen on MN not in the real world.
My friend's son is really fussy about food/badly behaved/stands on his head/insert whatever the random complaint is and you will be GUARANTEED someone will pipe up "He might have SN...."

_

Ah yes, that's one thing I forgot - people who object to any mention of SN in a sneery manner, referring to it as "the SN card".

The real world is full of such ignorant fuckers, which is why people end up turning to MN, faced with the possibility of SN in their family.

duplodon · 29/04/2015 16:21

I judge people who judge people who are 'late' on the school run, as if you're still there when they're coming in, they're not that late and it is such a pointless thing to judge unless you're the teacher.

SunnyBaudelaire · 29/04/2015 16:23

your right duplodon - those junior school days were vile with catsbum mouth mothers everywhere.

ByTheWishingWell · 29/04/2015 16:23

I don't understand judging an adult for making choices which don't affect anyone else- having tattoos or piercings, painting a number on their wheelie bin, dressing for comfort rather than 'for their shape', driving a BMW... It seems like the list is endless!
