to just put the recycling bag under the letterbox?

I get junk in the post, most of my post is junk. I have a sticker on my letter box from the council saying "no junk mail, yes please to council publications and local newspapers" I still get fliers and junk several times per day.

I think it would be easier to pick out the three bits of proper mail that are delivered in a week from the recycling rather than the current arrangement of shovelling handfuls of fliers off the door mat.

I've lost it haven't I?!

Sounds like a sensible idea to me! I'm thinking of moving my recycling box to the front and putting up a sign saying 'pizza, Chinese and Indian menus please place here' but I'm going to have to add something about political mail too.
We got seven different pizza menus through the door last week.

I'd say 90% of what comes through our letterbox goes into the recycling box.

MrsLH is irrationally attached to printed bank statements (which we can always get online). Apart from that the only things we get are the stuff you cannot get electronically. Which, strangely for a government which hasn't stopped banging on about "digital by default" (and spaffing my tax pounds into it) tends to be HMG stuff.

And obviously the NHS Sad.

Pah! We get three of four a DAY here. Would probably be more but presumably some of the paper spammers can read.

I can fish NHS and HMRC stuff out of the recycling I reckon. They're usually pretty distinctive.

We've already gone digital as much as possible but the buggers just get clever. Oh, thinks I, a lovely party invitation in this embossed cream envelope. Nope. It's a flier in an envelope from an Executive taxi firm or the menu for the local gastro pub. Fuckers Angry
