We were just talking about this at work this morning.

For me it was not paying attention, and being unpunctual.

I was a daydreamy, away with the fairies kind of child Smile

Talking
Daydreaming
Length of my skirt
Shirt not being tucked in
My 11 earrings

Charlotte3333 · 27/04/2015 14:38

My mouth. I was such a silly arse and would say anything to make people laugh. Never got in too much trouble though, thank goodness.

DS1 is in Y4 and appears to have similar traits; he's not rude, just daft. At parents evening in March his Teacher said to me he'd asked the class if anyone knew what a marsh was (studying geography) and DS1 put his hand up and shouted "a baby marshmallow". We're working on him to stay quiet and not be quite so ridiculous.

Groovee · 27/04/2015 14:41

Talking...

My report card often said "Groovee requires a blether to be able to get on with her work!"

OrlandoWoolf · 27/04/2015 14:42

I was perfect Grin

I remember being slapped in the face by a teacher for talking on the way to assembly.

But I never got a punishment. I was just very quiet and very ignored.

BolshierAyraStark · 27/04/2015 14:43

Talking & being too loud, I was a distraction apparently.

Lavenderice · 27/04/2015 14:43

Make-up.

SurlyCue · 27/04/2015 14:44

Windowgazing
Talking
Being cheeky to teachers (i genuinely still have problems with not realising im being rude)

helenahandbag · 27/04/2015 14:45

Talking. Always talking.

I had a special desk in history right in front of the teacher's desk and I had to sit there every lesson for the whole year. Moving me away from my friends didn't stop me talking, I just made new friends Grin

TeWiSavesTheDay · 27/04/2015 14:47

Not doing my homework.

Chillyegg · 27/04/2015 14:47

Make up and my hair colour....i was a pretentious knob who dyed my hair every colour under the sun and applied the brightest make up i could find....because you know who wants to be a cog in the system Hmm

DownWithThisTypeOfThing · 27/04/2015 14:47

Talking.
Distracting others.
Not doing homework.

I went to sixth form at the same school and was often in trouble for my attendance. But I'd discovered boys, music, gigs, clubs, sitting in the sun combined with a part time job. I turned out ok.

I won't necessarily share this information with my children.

happygirl87 · 27/04/2015 14:49

Talking and eyeliner Smile I was a goody two shoes though, so not too often!

DidoTheDodo · 27/04/2015 14:51

Eating my lunch on the fire escape (once) and laughing (once).
Obviously, I have never tried either of those things again.

HarpyFishwifeTwat · 27/04/2015 14:52

Talking. Always talking.

Best friend and I got split up at college for talking. I was 19, he was 22.

Undeuxtwatcinq · 27/04/2015 14:54

Class clown... think stink bomb kind of thing. I went to a girls only school and read too many Enid Blyton's Grin

AugustaGloop · 27/04/2015 14:56

I honestly never got into trouble at school expect on 2 occasions as part of a whole class punishment.
That makes me sound like a goody two shoes, but I wasn't really. I guess I just saved it for outside school! I was very bright (stealth boast) so it may be that I got away with some things because of that.

OrlandoWoolf · 27/04/2015 14:56

We were just talking about this at work this morning

No doubt when you should have been working Grin

chaletdays · 27/04/2015 14:59

Grin. I know. We're all in detention tonight!

Daydreaming

Sitting on radiators at breaktimes. My school was permanently freezing and teachers would pass by groups of huddling students and bark 'stop sitting on that, you'll get piles' . I never really thought about how weird this was until I typed it out now Confused

IsabellaofFrance · 27/04/2015 15:06

Swinging on my chair.

still do it

chaletdays · 27/04/2015 15:08

We used to do exactly the same Flavia and got exactly the same response. We would also stand in huddles around the hand dryers in the toilets to get warm.

I was also always in trouble for swinging back in my chair. I was going to break my neck as well as get piles, apparently.

bananaramadramallama · 27/04/2015 15:09

Talking
Daydreaming
Disorganised
My big, sticky-up, backcombed fringe
Make up
Shirt tucked out
Wearing a white polo-neck instead of a school shirt & tie
Generally being a gobshite
Scrapping
Skiving

(But in between all that I somehow also tried really hard and I love to learn, so even though I was an arsehole I was liked by the teachers and was quite popular).

hedgehogsdontbite · 27/04/2015 15:11

Lack of homework. I think I did it twice when I first started, then evaded for the rest of my school life and blagged all my exams.

whitecandles · 27/04/2015 15:12

I think I was late every day for my final two years of school. Used to piss my tutor off soooo much.

Once got in trouble for skiving off to buy books!!! The injustice!!!

FlaviaAlbia · 27/04/2015 15:12

Grin chaletdays what a future!
