Just that really, me and my DP disagree over it!

I am so glad I am not alone!

I cannot drink tea out of a green mug or a mug with a savoury brand printed on it.

YANBU!!! Fine bone china, cup pre-warmed too if poss, and not too large.

Those awful clumpy enormo mugs make the tea taste awful!

My favourite mug, bone China, thin, white inside, the shape is great too.

I can't stand too much milk or weak area either, yuck

PatioPonderer · 26/04/2015 08:31

*tea (not area)

Emma Bridgwater mugs are the best tea mugs.
I can't stand tea out of bone china, I agree with the above posters that say it tastes weird and weak.
Tea should definitely never ever be in a mug with a dark interior.
Also agree with those that say tea from Costa etc is awful. The mugs are too thick IMO and they don't brew it properly.
Tea in any event is improved by using loose leaf tea and brewing in a teapot complete with tea cosy

I don't drink tea (thin, weak, horrible stuff. I appreciate I am in a minority here). Dh does and is adamant that coffee mugs be kept separate to tea mugs.

I have a coffee mug I love but dh doesn't use it as it won't go in the dishwasher.

Bikerunski those mugs must be fab -170 miles is a long way to go to get one! Happy shopping Smile

Tea tastes better in my blue mugs than any other cup. They were made by a bloke in Cornwall and I only have four left - he doesn't make them anymore. I am very protective of them.

Your DP is BTU OP. I have never said this before, but, perhaps, you should consider LTB!

It's not like he's a terrible person or anything, but how can he not notice the difference?confused Are you sure you have enough in common to continue a meaningful relationship?

I have considered it Dione but then again this morning his tea offering came from within the desired mug so i think there's a chance we can make things work! Grin
