To think that people shouldn't issue TV spoilers immediately on facebook?

Grrrr! I'm two episodes behind on Masterchef and have just idly scrolled through my facebook feed. Someone's status update says "I knew X would win".
It made me so cross....but I think this may be yet another decent reason to ditch facebook.

The people in charge of the greys anatomy fb page let out a huge one last night. Bare in mind that the UK is a week behind. So pissed off. So yabu. I once had a go at someone on fb over a doctor who spoiler.

McColonel · 24/04/2015 22:26

Stop going on facebook then innit

YANBU. Someone once spoiled the climax of The Apprentice for me (shit show, but whatever) on FB. I said something jokey about spoilers and she was totally unrepentant and said it was my own fault for not having seen it live. Yeah, right, like I watch TV programmes as they're actually broadcast. What is this, the 90s?

chipsandpeas · 24/04/2015 22:29

if its been aired then its fair game as far as im concerned, even if its been aired in another country

its not anyone elses fault you are 2 episodes behind, ive had countless US tv shows spoiled as media talk about it when its been aired in the US and usually without saying its a spoiled

You need to not do social media until you've caught up. You can't expect people not to discuss current events happening on TV.

if they are US based then you cant fault them, if they are UK based and watching as US pace then i can kinda see their point but they should hold their tounge

exactly.....a US based author gave a pretty good spoiler last week for Scandal luckily i watch at US pace but still it was a massive spoiler but people dont think about things, its been on telly so its fair game and i cant think that if i were in the US that i would keep my mouth shut in case ppl in other countries hadnt seen

Hehe.

Yes.

I love the conundrum of when watch when you want TV, box sets and immediate response social media collides. It's like a perfect 2015 storm.
