Mumsnet Playing up again!

I thought this was sorted. When I use MN on my iPad it constantly shuts down, it's soooo frustrating. It happened a few weeks back and then appeared 'mended' but now it's back.

Anyone else having problems?

Tbh for me (touch wood) its been really good tonight. Normally i have to restart mn after every 3 posts. Ive spent 20 minutes with no problems...yet!

And it just did it!!! Grrr

I have given up mning on my ipad. Using my thickphone instead

Same problem for me on iPod. Totally unpredictable, I just get suddenly kicked out!

Are you using Safari browser on your iPad bumblin? If so it really isn't the best browser to use, very flakey.

I use my iPad all the time and have the same infuriating problems, browser spontaneously shuts down, keyboard freezes, really slow etc

The main problem is the pile of crap called iOS 8. My iPad has never been the same since I upgraded.

It is safari so maybe that's the problem. Don't have problems with any other sites when using safari tho.

Mumsnet has too many bloody adverts a lot of coding stuff going on behind the scenes which is great for their revenue stream but makes for absolutely awful performance and sends Safari into a tizz.

If you are like me you'll regularly have "reloading, the browser stopped working" or words to that effect, because Safari can't cope.

Hi london yes Chrome is a reasonable freeby downloadable from the Apple store. I somehow keep drifting back onto my Safari.

Another thing is not to have too many tabs open. I'm the world's worst for that (and too many MS Windows open on my laptop!) I'm just a lazy cahhhh probably.

I've just read the thread that Mango kindly linked to, it seems to have been going on quite a while and MNHQ do suggest upgrading to iOS 8. I haven't had much luck with the upgrade it has made my iPad worse but it's difficult to know if it's because I'm on an older iPad and the latest iOS is too much for the old girl! I'm sticking with it though, as I'm not spending another £300++ what a waste!
