Sodding estate agents

I'm moving out of my rented house and agent arranged a viewing for this evening. I've come home early from enjoying this weather with dc to open windows, make sure house is presentable, and obviously be here to show the lady around.

She didn't show up.

Aibu to think that with the amount of money agents make on rentals they should at least provide an out of hours number when they have arranged viewings? Rather than sitting around for an hour wondering if I can eat, a 2 minute call from them could've sorted it.

Op just say no and turn all viewings down! Your landlord is even telling you to!

How odd. Every single rental I've ever moved out of has been shown to new renters by the agent. I barely tolerate the viewings, let alone showing it myself. It's my bloody house, I pay for it, show it after I'm gone (I would like to say this but in reality I grudgingly allow viewings)!

I would tell the agent you're not showing anyone around. And assume everything that comes out of an estate agent's mouth is a lie (in my experience this is quite accurate), including the bollocks about there being a link between managing the property and letting it to the new tenants.
