WHY would you want to post on a thread advertised already as SAD?

I just can't help clicking on them.

But sometimes it's someone relating something really horrible which they have heard and wish they hadn't heard. Well thanks for sharing that one.

usualsuspect333 · 23/04/2015 20:33

The ones that have a Thread 2 get hidden as soon as they pop up.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/04/2015 20:34

Man you are all heartless swines Wink

usualsuspect333 · 23/04/2015 20:36

They ones that run into multiple threads are usually about fake weddings or fake lifts to work.

I don't see the point in putting 'Triggering' in the thread title, if you have to open it to find out what the trigger might be.

Totally daft not to give a clue in the title.

usualsuspect333 · 23/04/2015 20:42

And god help us when the Special Royal baby number 2 is born.

I might ban myself from MN when that happens.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/04/2015 20:49

Support threads are fair enough though if someone is genuine.

It's the trolly creative writer ones that are harmful.

Yes I am answering this thread seriously. Oops.

MrsCampbellBlack · 23/04/2015 20:53

I am now singing 'walk on by' by Dionne Warwick.

I don't 'invest' in threads generally. But, but when I was really struggling with something a few weeks back I was heartened by the lovely responses I got on here.

Twitter - not one bloody comment/mention when I mentioned what was happening.

So, i am trying to answer any threads when I may be able to offer some help as it did meant a lot to me on here.

flabbyducks · 23/04/2015 20:55

I'm with you elizabeth no paragraphs and it's closed , also anything with lighthearted in

If you need to write that , then no , can't be arsed

MrsCampbellBlack · 23/04/2015 20:56

No paragraphs really does hurt my eyes. Is that yet another age thing?

ClashCityRocker · 23/04/2015 20:57

It's when the 'trigger' is something totally lame, like spiders.

Or someone was a bit down in the dumps.

I've seen a few threads recently where I thought what could possibly be triggering about that?

The 'long' ones in AIBU always makes me think that the OP knows they are being u, but are trying to justify it.

And people 'shaking' with anger.

It always seems to be involving PFBs, for some reason.

JohnFarleysRuskin · 23/04/2015 21:00

I'm triggered by TOO MANY CAPS, OP! You should have warned us.

ElizabethHoover · 23/04/2015 21:02

sorry CB

OP posts:
usualsuspect333 · 23/04/2015 21:03

Does anyone remember when you weren't allowed to even type spider on here?

You had to call them Loofahs or summat daft.

I was like WTF when I first joined.

ClashCityRocker · 23/04/2015 21:04

Oh yeah, especially caps in a SERIOUS thread which are just used TO MAKE A POINT.

They are often used when shaking with anger.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/04/2015 21:04

Not now. If you are upset by mention of a spider now on here you'd be handed a grip and called pathetic

suzannecanthecan · 23/04/2015 21:05

?I think there is a often a role for a 'thread assistant' who will read the OP and then re write it succinctly and with paragraphs ?

a long volley of 'he said she said' can be exhausting

AuntyMag10 · 23/04/2015 21:05

Can't be bothered by no paragraphs too! Also the ones with Sad faces at not being shown pictures of popped pimples or other disgusting stuff.

ElizabethHoover · 23/04/2015 21:07
