I'm interested to know. I'm looking at having my bathroom done in my new home and have no idea what to expect.

I'll be removing the current tiles and re-tiling myself.

It was about 5k including some cheap tiling, so more like a smidge over 4k without tiles.

Just under £10K with everything, decorating, storage etc. It is a large room, needed two towel rail/radiators and we changed the positions of everything. Old house, so needed a lot of replumbing and work on floor to get it level for slate flooring.

Oh wow! I think my quote is definitely reasonable then.

I've been quoted £850 to remove the current suite and put the new suite in, as well as linking up a shower to my boiler.

Your quote sounds reasonable to me. I haven't had a new bathroom yet but had a plumber round a month ago for something else and asking him for a quote for a new bathroom.

As everything would be replaced in a straight swp, no pipework needed changing etc, he quoted me 2K for the lot, including supply of the new suite. That is for a smallish bathroom.

It depends where you live too. The south being more expensive than the north.

We're paying £1800 labour to remove and replace a bath, sink and shower, tile walls to full height and tile floor, plus install a washbasin in the adjacent separate loo.

We're supplying all tiles, suite, taps and wastes but the quote includes other materials (pipe, backing boards for tiles, adhesives etc).

Thank you! It does sound reasonable after all :)
