AIBU to want to shop another parent to the LEA for Primary School Admission Fraud

A lady I know in passing has scammed her way to a place at the best local primary by renting next to the school for 6 months. Two days after offer day she is back at her original address near us. AIBU to think that she has cheated someone else's child out of a place and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it?

Has no bearing on what will happen to my DC as we're 20 odd places down the wait list for that school.

Those who admire parents who go too such lengths to secure a good education, suppose the parents nearer the school who have been cheated out of a place are equally or even more determined to go to any lengths? Where does the law breaking finally become not so admirable if the cheated parents try to win back the place? Blackmail perhaps? Assassination ?

The CofE isn't the problem. They have not said they would close schools if they lost the right to select on faith criteria. The RC church, on the other hand, has said that. If you call their bluff I am certain you will lose.

so the answer is to go on allowing discrimination? keep in mind we allow schools, schools, to do something which is considered nasty and ugly when we allow no one else to do it.

Strip the right from the CofE first then. If the RC will close their doors they will lose an immense amount of power and control. Take it away from the biggest church (CofE) and then the smaller groups. We can deal with the RC later.

it sounds naive and I am sure it will be painful, but so will allowing this ridiculous practice to continue.
