After my last foray into education I made him swear to shoot me if I ever thought about doing it again.

I am pondering a masters.

I could do it. I'm quite clever really. Snd it would be quite carreer-ish.

and I'm a bit bored.

But I do remember how hideous last time was. It were orrid. Nadty and bloody hard work.

But I want to.

And then I want to do a Phd and be Dr Hooked and take over the world.

So. Should I?

Well do you put your qualifications/ education to use? Or is he fed up because he thinks you're a bit of a permanent student?

wurlycurly · 18/04/2015 20:31

Yes

hidingfromthem · 18/04/2015 20:32

go for it.
a masters isn't too hard. i've done one.
these days a primary degree just doesn't seem to be enough for employers, does it? which is quite annoying in the grand scheme of things.

Whatthefucknameisntalreadytake · 18/04/2015 20:33

Do it! It'll drive you barking and you'll wonder why you are doing it and then at the end you'll be so glad you did.

He's welcome to borrow my gun

Do the masters, it will be fun, it will be bloody hard work and prepare you well for a PhD (i wish i did a masters before my PhD). Once you have done your masters then you will know if you are insane enough wanting to do the PhD

HookedOnHooking · 18/04/2015 20:44

I wonder. If I go for it and start, if he'd notice?

He hasn't noticed my most recent study stuff (work related).

HookedOnHooking · 18/04/2015 21:41

Number 1 degree when they were tiddly was easy. I worked when they were in bed.

Nuber 2 degree was a chuffing nightmare. D2 diagnosed wirh AS half way. Hideous time at school. Awful. Bigger, so always bloody awake and needing stuff.

Now independent. I'm just the taxi.

If it's not going to affect money coming in and you weren't being shitty and taking the stress of the last two out on him unfairly then go for it. If you were anything like me please dont go for it, I was a misery and caused rifts in the relationship because of the stress when doing further on stuff.
