When I was 16, my cousin dies of sids. I got a tattoo on my thigh, his name is one inch old English writing... It isn't pretty. Since having DD, i see the tattoo as a constant reminder of what happened to my cousin. WIBU to get it removed/covered over or should I keep it as it is a remembrance tattoo?

If you dont like it, then why dont you have it redesigned? They can do lovely things these days - i had a cover up done recently, and am really happy

To forget it, you would need to have it removed, as a cover up would still be there

If you don't want the constant reminder, then I'd get it removed/covered.

It's not like losing the tattoo will mean you'll forget all about him, is it? Thanks

I'd have it removed

Your cousin's memorial lives on in your heart and head and memories, not in a tattoo. If it doesn't suit you any more, then don't fee bad about getting it removed. It's no insult to their memory.

Or perhaps have it incorporated into a larger piece that you do like.

I think getting it covered as a remembrance tattoo is a lovely idea, if you can. All you are doing is updating it Smile
