Too much indignation/outrage!

Everywhere I went today, people were doing this face. Every thread I visit on here, posters are indignant.

OK, it has its place but AIBU to wish folks would just chill out a bit and stop taking personal offence at every bloody thing, ffs? I'm indignant at all the indignation!

And I am professionally offended at your indignation at all the indignation!

Welshmaenad · 13/04/2015 16:11

Come sit with me, OP, I'm too tired to be indignant today.

Floisme · 13/04/2015 16:12

Sorry op, I'm probably one of them Grin It's been a very strange day. I'm exhausted now!

Gralick · 13/04/2015 16:19

Good reply, thecat Wink

Come and sit on the exhausted but chilled bench with me & Welsh, Flo. I have cold beers, pretzels and a peaceful smile.

Actually, I might have to go & buy some pretzels now. I'll go peacefully Grin

I'm in a good mood and can't be offended today. I was even very patient when someone in front of me at the till took AGES to find their purse in their handbag. Still smiling Smile

Gralick · 13/04/2015 16:52

I like your mood, where :)

I'm on my way op........Grin

CombineBananaFister · 13/04/2015 17:02

My brother is one of these people - the 'professionally offended', it must be exhausting being so angry all the time looking for percieved slights. When he does find genuine reason he is almost gleeful he has something to be outraged about.
I do love him but he's very hard work Grin

Floisme · 13/04/2015 17:05

Agree about MN lately. I was on a thread about nub theory and the OP made the mistake of saying she wanted a dd. She got handed her arse on a plate and lots of professionally offended poster's laying in.

Zampa · 13/04/2015 17:09

I'm new (ish) here and I'm amazed at judgements being handed out by the indignant.

But I can't help rubber necking ...

Gralick · 13/04/2015 17:56

No pretzels in the shops, Flo. I got spicy poppadoms instead. Hope you're not offended Wink

Welcome to the home of the irate woman, Zampa. Take a seat. Lager or bitter?

Gralick · 13/04/2015 17:56

What's nub theory? Dare I ask??

OP posts:
Floisme · 13/04/2015 18:03

Spicey poppadoms are great. Anyway I'm too chilled to care now....

Bowlersarm · 13/04/2015 18:04

YANBU

But I suppose that's the nature of AIBU. You can come out of a thread feeling like you've done a few rounds in a boxing ring. Then I nip into baby names for some nice fluffiness.

In my RL, all is fine and happy. No indignation or outrage (currently) around me.

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2015 18:05

Wine I am saying nothing about anything.

BackOnPlanetEarth · 13/04/2015 18:06

I have a theory that you should only 'be offended' when someone is actually trying to offend you. Some people seem to go out their way looking for things to be offended by.

It's a lovely day and I've been to the gym. Too spaced out to be offended or outraged... for now!!
