Anyone else find them difficult? Seems to have been a plague of them recently. I have this student intern at work to deal with, I have to work with him on quite a complex project, in a team of 4. I think we have all been pretty gobsmacked at the tone of the emails which he has been sending us, which are basically that the rest of us are useless, he is going to have to delete all our work as its so bad, etc. He has now been disciplined (and may well be told to leave after the project ends), but considering this comes from a 33 year old who has never in his life had a proper professional job and we are all qualified professionals, ???
Likewise, male friend's new girlfriend has taken up a sport. She's reasonably talented, although not any more so than any other entrant to the sport. But the sheer unrelenting barrage of posts about how she is going to be the next Olympic gold medallist, how much potential she has, how much attention she deserves. She has written to loads of companies asking for sponsorship (none seem to have responded as generally you have to win a few things first), she is constantly profiled in local newspapers. I'm all for encouraging women into sport, but I'm sick of hearing about her!
