Hi everyone. First time poster in this section
Had a fault with my telephone line and internet back at the beginning of February, I contacted Talk Talk who said that they would run a 'systems check" and they claimed that my internet and telephone line was fine, yet the fault was still persistent so we contacted them again, they said that they would send out an engineer to check the phone and broadband line at our home and that if there was a fault at our home to do with our cabling in the house that we would be charged £65, they said though if it was anything to do with the line outside the house which goes to the exchange or any fault at the exchange that we would not be charged £65. The engineer came he found no fault at our end with our cabling and that the fault was at the exchange and there for we would not be charged because as we were told that any fault to do with the line outside the home is covered by our line rental, BT open reach came and addressed the issue, however recently we got our bill and we HAVE been charged the £65 and we were told and reassured by Talk Talk and the engineer that we would not have to pay.
AIBU to think that I shouldn't have been charged when we were told that we wouldnt be and they wont refund us with the £65?
