I know I am wrong, but I still feel slightly justified, facebook and politics

Facebook should not touch on politics or religion; in fact nothing contentious at all.

The Green Party in Brighton have been a mockery - lots of information in the news and locally it is a bloody shambles - well clearly that is my opinion.

Various 'friends' on facebook (not friends but people linked in to me or my friends) have been plugging the Green Party on facebook saying how great they are...

I left a comment about Brighton and how they were crap there.

War has broken out on facebook.

I shouldn't have but I couldn't help myself!

This is a tricky one - I hate what they've done to drivers in the city but I really appreciate what they've done to the parks and open spaces. What particularly do you think is a shambles?
Oh - and Facebook / Politics - they just do not mix.

They don't form the majority of the council in Brighton and much of what they wanted to do has been blocked. So YABU on that basis.

I'm seeing this particular discussion on various social media outlets since it is local to me. It never ends well because opinions are like arseholes - everyone's got one and Facebook is about the worst arena to throw politics into.

All I would say is that the local MP is far from thrilled about how the Greens have conducted themselves on the city council. But then she's the only Green MP in the country and is fighting to get re-elected in a marginal constituency.

I have this issue with all the champagne socialists on my Facebook. I simply remarked the best person to help an individual is themselves and all hell broke loose

Oops!

HellBoundNothingFound · 11/04/2015 18:38

I'm a champagne socialist, chin chin deary.

I left FB due to losing faith in humanity. Politics and religion are my buzz, dude...FB isn't the place to debate either

I'll have another glass of champers though Grin
