AIBU to find it disgusting that gypsies have taken over a school playground

whilst attending my best friends wedding today in a little village I was horrified to see that gypsies had taken over the school playground. There was rubbish all over the floor, children and dogs running all over the place and scantily clad women puffing away.
why a school playground, these people have no morals. The poor caretaker is going to have his work cut out for him as there was at least 15 caravans! Angry

But yes, it is disgusting to encroach on a school playground.

They've done exactly the same thing here again in the local country park.

Last year it was the local cemetery that backs onto it.

Report it to the council. In my experience eviction from council property is usually quite quick. Horrible though.

YANBU it is disgusting when groups with caravans come into parks and other areas and then leave it a mess. We had a group in our local park, they were there maybe a week and it was school holidays. It put me off going to the park and when they left there were baths and toilets, obviously from a job they had done....I was very annoyed and felt the place wasn't safe at all. It's a pity that people who want to live in a caravan can't just buy some land and live there. Why they have to travel around causing mess idk, it's expensive as well to clean up.

And equally coconutty I hope those who have been lucky enough to have never been negatively affected by illegally parked travellers, don't throw the word 'racist' around when people complain that they have been.

It would be nice for once if everyone discussed this sensibly

I remember a couple years ago a group left asbestos 10 m away from a nursery Shock. It cost £50 k to clear up.

I just think that schools should be completely off limits and eviction should be immediate.
I understand that they need to camp somewhere and that authorised sites are few and far between but school playgrounds should be a no no, I very much doubt that those dogs running loose are being picked up after and the fag butts will be left on the floor not to mention the current black bags that have been ripped open by foxes and rubbish strewn all over the place.
I honestly believe that most of us are nimbys and rightly so, I just hope that. the council can get rid of them and get the place cleaned up before the start of term!

However that is no excuse to leave piles of rubbish behind, as they often do here, when they're less than a mile from the local dump.
