Today I went to the Dr as I have a wart on my finger. I have had them before and have had them frozen which in the past has worked. I would pay for the treatment but over counter stuff just doesn't work.

Went to the Dr who was so condescending and said such things as
:well what do you want me to do about it?
:In two years it will go away on its own as your body will eventually produce antibodies to fight it.

:have you tried rubbing a diamond ring on it that's supposed to work?
Or I could just wave my magic wand on it and make it go away.

I felt like I was wasting his time and left crying.

Please bear in mind that I go to the Drs once or twice a year.

They're really reluctant to waste funds freezing every Tom, Dick and Harry's warts and verrucas these days because they do eventually disappear by themselves apparently. I had two verrucas that lasted THREE AND A HALF YEARS! before I tried the vinegar with duct tape thing every night for about two weeks and they finally dropped off, never returned either but now I have two bloody warts Angry. I'd never bother a doctor with them though, they look horrible but other than that they don't really affect your life do they?

Having said that, the doctor sounds like a bit of an arse. I've been faced with "what would you like me to do about it?" once before as well and I've requested not to see that particular doctor since. It's rude and unnecessary and the diamond thing is weird Confused.

He sounds absolutely horrible. I would probably make a complaint. While people shouldn't go to the GP every time they have the sniffles, humiliating people into never coming again is a terrible idea. If he didn't think there was anything he could do he could have just said so politely.

Ring the Practice Manager and complain in writing.
