The bins aren't next to each other, they would of had to move them 10m or so to do this, can't of been an accident. Just noticed as I went to add another bag and saw a KFCbag at the top. Mine was bursting and theirs is quite full.

Aibu to think this smells very fishy?

does it have numbers on it?

does it have maggot's in it?

they wont collect contaminated bins

TheOddity · 01/04/2015 21:22

Yep, hope you swapped back.

Instituteofstudies · 01/04/2015 21:24

I made my bin embarrassingly conspicuous by means of loads of luminous yellow paint on all sides, top, bottom and wheels! No one would be able to try pass mine off as theirs. It is fishy yes, but when this is resolved maybe make your bin totally recognisable as belonging to you and your property.

Hope they've not put something horrid in there OP.

Swap em back!

ljwales · 01/04/2015 21:42

Thanks I've swapped them back, I just wonder why they did this? If theirs wouldn't be collected then surely when I got back I'd just take my empty bin and put their full one back outside their house? I used mine as a table when painting the house, so is quite unique. Will paint something on it though after this.

I'm tempted to no it put my bin out as won't be back till sat. So will have two days of it outside my house Easter Shock

My neighbours did this- I got my bin back, washed all my bins and then massively labelled them!! I think they got the point!

ljwales · 01/04/2015 22:32

But why did they do this? I really want to just look through their bin to find out tbh. Its very weird and sly.

Does theirs smell worse than yours or is more dirty?

WatchOutForGoblins · 01/04/2015 23:51

How strange! I suggest you go ona bin fishing mission under cover of darkness just so we can find out! Grin

This reminds me of when we moved to a new rented property which didn't have a rubbish bin so the council brought us a lovely brand spanking new one. First collection day it was filched by one of the neighbours who kindly left their manky one in it's place.

I had to wait a full two weeks until next collection to filch my new bin back - bastards!

Where we live now I have to keep tabs on the cheeky fuckers next door who put their non-recycling into my recycling bins when they are out for collection. I have trained my cat to shit in their garden Grin
